Flag Flying

Happy Independence Day

The flag hoisted at Fort St. George, Chennai. And it is believed to be the tallest flagpole in India.

Happy Independence Day

I guess the flagpole must be a very sturdy one if it's so very tall!

I too think it is the tallest. There is one more thing. After India achieved Independence, the first Indian tri-color flag was hoisted from this very location :)

Hi Jeevan,
Beautiful poem and a lovely photo of the Indian flag!
Happy belated Independence Day to you!
Have a Wonderful Week!
Peace :)

PS. At 150 feet, that is a very tall flag staff and allegedly the 2nd highest in the country (Wiki).
