Wind blows away far inside
thrust a dry leaf
fragilely fall to ground
as a stranger into our home.
thrust a dry leaf
fragilely fall to ground
as a stranger into our home.
Wrinkles
make an impression,
aged or illness drops it down
a dry leaf runaway
desire controlled by wind.
aged or illness drops it down
a dry leaf runaway
desire controlled by wind.
Hand pickup & drops away
sometime led to dustbin
or where it swept from
to rejoin its journey by wind.

Footnote:
The picture above was captured by me on a dry leaf, but
slightly under wet condition. The poem is related to home experience.

This is one of my favorites of yours Jeevan. The beauty in a leaf...you captured it perfectly.
superb photograph Jeevan...nice post
Beautiful capture and your composition :-)
says that all unsaid...
Every word in this poem is very meaningful, Jeevan, esp. this:
Hand pickup & drops away
sometime led to dustbin
or where it swept from
to rejoin its journey by wind.
God bless you!
Lovely - both the photo and the poem! I love the way you are able to tie the image together with poetry!
really sweet poem.
That's a fantastic shot, Jeevan!
nice poem and photo
thanks jeevan
Great thoughtful poem.
Lovely picture and it has evoked such wonderful lines in you!
Nice poem. Dry leaves may fall, but they decompost and mix with nature. Only things like plastic and silicon don't mix with nature.

Beautiful image & lovely poem.
What beautiful words and photo.
simple and sweet...
Lovely verse to describe an equally poignant image! I particularly liked the first stanza. The analogy of the falling leaf and a stranger at home is novel and refreshing.
