கடலை தொடர்ந்து, காற்றை கடந்து
உறவு கொள்ளும் வானம்!
மேக வாயிலாக, தன் நன்றியை
முத்தச்சாரலில், முத்துகள்ளாக பதிக்கிறது.
Subsequent to sea and passing air
to hold relation, the sky
thanks through the clouds
pressing as pearls in shower of osculation.
There's nothing quite like rain - Mother Nature's shower :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the beautiful poem and the fascinating image.
ReplyDeleteI think the actual Tamil words must be a lot better than the English translation. Sadly, the only Tamil words I know are 'Vanakkam', 'anna', 'tambi' and 'illai illai'. Will learn some more someday, hopefully enough to understand these words.
ReplyDeleteDid you write the poem yourself? Or are you quoting it from somewhere?
refreshing.
ReplyDeleteKK - Obviously myself! Whatever written on my blog are wrote by me... if I copy paste, I would leave a link or source behind. Btw. You are right. I enjoyed writing this poem in Tamil rather translating in English.
ReplyDeleteKalakeeteenga! Super.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pearls indeed, lovely poem and nice complimentary image to go along with the poetry. Many thanks for sharing it :)
ReplyDeleteI thought the poem was about relatives (sondha-karanga). Good that it isn't. :)

Beautiful words, Jeevan. I love rain --and we need it to help the flowers and plants grow. BUT--we've had a little too much of it so far this year.... ha
