The
couple of photos here (from the archives) were shot years back into one early
morning in Bangalore and road was MG road! I think it is a road comparative to Mt.
Rd/Anna Salai in Chennai with many commercial, shopping and official buildings
to keep it busy throughout the year. Couple of my friends from Bangalore expressed
surprise looking at these photos said, they never seen MG road such empty.
And I
find the elastic pole dividers dividing the MG road were interesting to post/link
with Good Fence at Run a Round Ranch.
it's a neat shot and it is a very empty road! :)
ReplyDeleteEither it was early morning or a bandh day ! Or traffic stopped for VIP movement. Otherwise MG Rd can never be empty.
ReplyDeleteAn empty road must be unusual. Nice shots.
ReplyDeleteLots of fences.
ReplyDeleteI suppose the poles helped keep people from turning around in the middle of the road to go the opposite direction.
ReplyDeletechennai looks so less crowded as compared to delhi

Those poles would bug me as I tend to head towards things like that when they are on the road.
ReplyDeleteNot much traffic at all in that 2nd shot.
Jeevan,
ReplyDeleteLovely memories of Bangalore. I have seen those roads somewhat empty, long time ago.
Nice find from the archive!
Have a Beautiful Day!!
Peace :)
Absolutely no traffic!
ReplyDeleteGreat pic.
Good road but no traffic!
ReplyDeleteDuring the weekend, sometimes this road is somewhat empty. But the second photo surprises me too! :)

Empty road, a rare phenomenon these days! Great images!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised to see so little traffic on the left side of this photo!
ReplyDeleteYour streets are so quiet and clean! nice~!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the city. Surprisingly roads are empty.
ReplyDeleteEven i can't believe how come MG Road looks so deserted...but those were the times. Alas!
ReplyDeleteNice capture though.
