Dashboard Ganesh is the name I given to this pretty little idol
that embellished our car dashboard before it broke away a year ago. The
idol was made of marble and about 2 inches in size!
'Dashboard Ganesh' has a nice ring to it. The post, and the picture, reminds me: I met my supervisor's friend from Singapore recently, and he told me that he used to collect Ganesha idols. Evidently, he bought one in a famous marketplace in Hong Kong called Mong Kok. My supervisor, who is an animal lover and activist, also loves Ganesha for his elephant-like aspect. All in all, Ganesha is quite cool and famous. :D
that is neat. :)

Excellently made idol. Once, I had been to an exhibition where they had kept 1000 different forms of Ganesha. Very innovative!

ReplyDeleteIt's too bad the Ganesha broke away. You got a neat photo of it, however.
ReplyDeleteMany people in my country and even Thailand pray to Lord Ganesh!
