Thirparappu Waterfalls in Kanyakumari is a popular tourist spot in the district which I
visited at the end of 2011. I was glad the authorities had built ramps all the
way down to the falls for me to enjoy the drizzle at close distance. The water
falls from a height of nearly 50 ft, seems to flow with great force for around 7
months in the whole year.
Here is a
couple of photos took while leading down to the falls... there is a ramp as
well steps to reach the waterfalls. For those take the steps, interesting has
rails that resembles the fence made in bamboos, which was actually designed in
iron/steel.

what a fabulous place with the falls and those beautifully cut hedges.
beautifully sculptured hedges and bushes! i noticed the 'bamboo' post, too. very neat! glad they had ramps for you to use!
Lovely falls and a cool fence.
The landscape is nice and green. You mentioned 7 months of water falls per year. Is this a man made waterfalls?
What a lovely place you visited. I love waterfalls, would have liked to have seen more of this one. - The fencing that looks like bamboo in the 2nd shot is super neat and I love the landscaping as well.
I love those falls, Jeevan.
The garden is very well taken care of too.
If you hadn't told me, I would have thought the fence/railing was bamboo.
Great snaps!
Have a Wonderful Day!!
Peace :)
Beautiful place, well maintained.
The photos look beautiful...The fence also is beautiful!
The waterfalls and hedges are pretty. Great fence shots. Have a happy weekend!
Twilight Man – No it’s a natural waterfalls and its flow used to be in great force for about 7 months yearly due to rainy season or monsoon.
I like the bamboo fence. You have keen eyes to be able to spot it, click it, and submit it for this challenge!
