Kumki – almost melody

Mynaa fame Prabu Solomon’s forthcoming Tamil movie Kumki – a wild love story, is out in audio holding half a dozen songs that mesmerize through pleasant lyrics and unique render in music. Kumki is a name referred to trained Indian elephants that used for taming and training wild elephants and helps in driving away the wild elephants that stray into human settlements.

The movie produced by director Lingusamy has Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi Menon as lead and the songs are composed by D.Imman and lyrics written by Yugabharathi. The movie was my personal anticipation towards the title and stills which hold similar remark to Mynaa which is one of my favorite films.  Here we go with the songs:

There are 10 songs in the album in which three are Karaoke... ‘Ayyayoo Aananthamae’, is a joyous song sung by Haricharan and the blissful lyric make it more fascinating and gives a feel of listening to Ilayarajas songs. The music of this song was just reverberates like a flow of stream and the humming of violin at the rear end was eternal.

‘Nee Yeppo Pulla’, is a song beings at high pitch in the volume of composer Alphons Joseph, is so humble and impressive through the feeling of lyrics and its one among the solo to hum.  'Onnum Puiyala', is a soothing melody stroke the heart with a unique string of guitar and the music director himself have sung the song, except the interruption of the high beats in-between it’s awesome!

‘Sol Sol’ is a wonderful folk song, sung by Magizhini Manimaaran who hail from the bird paradise Vedanthangal and the lines are simple and meaningful and even it gives a feel of Jingu Chikku of Mynaa, it comes under the rural melody. ‘Sollitaley Ava Kaadhala’, is a very beautiful song sung as a duet by Ranjith and Shreya Ghoshal, leaves listening again for surpass of love and magic in there vocal. The flute tack was just moving...

‘Yella Oorum’, is a jumbo track to cheer and it almost related to life of mahout and elephant. I’m sure it gonna rejuvenating and make rejoice everyone, in the tone of Benny Dayal and D.Imman. I’m much looking forward to the release of the movie and to watch all the songs in the video format. What special about the album was its almost melody!

Weekend outing along ECR

Few weekends back we had a family outing on ECR (east coast road) and on a leisure drive we went till Chinna Cuddalore beach near the mouth of River Palar... about 80km from Chennai. The indefinite drive took us around the Kalpakkam Township which created for the employees working in the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research and Power Station.
Calm backwater, near bay
Calm backwater across the township
I come across the Kalpakkam Township after long back and I really like this place for its quiet clam environment and beautiful lanes and well maintained gardens and greenery and trees and Backwaters Lake. There are about 26,000 people reside there hailing from across the country and they are provided with all amenities like schools, hospital, shopping complex and sports ground. There are about 4,920 quarters and the township was established in 1979.
Beautiful Lane
Beautiful lane across the township
The township was parted by two, which was cut cross by a backwater canal close to Bay of Bengal and the two sides are connected by two beautiful bridges, and the backwater is visited by many migratory birds. The platforms lay beside the backwater was inviting to take a walk leisurely in evening and checking the birds and the plenty of trees gives huge shelter on both sides of the lanes.

We carried our lunch along with us and had at one of a trees shelter along the ECR and went discovering the Chinna Cuddalore beach, coming across the country side with paddy fields and herd of goats. The way to the beach is an isolated lane with the company of green coconut groves and at the end of the beach a fishing research centers have being on construction in full fledge.
Green coconut grove
On our way back home we stopped at the Palar river bridge to take few shots on the river bed and leftover water. It’s been years water flowed through this river and the illegal sand mine is one of a reason to barren its flow... and I always wish for an off-road trail on the river bed which never happened and don’t believe to be happening though! sign

Love - III

Love creates wound
and heals at same;
only the heart to blame.

Love has its aspects
of smile, of the sun
and grim reaper.

Love emphasis
the spirit of insight
and inspires a poet inside.

Love entice;
and enrich the heart
in the process of unison.
