Jallikattu, should be banned? I don’t think so…

Though Deepavali is my favourite festival, and I simply loved it for fireworks and sharing of sweets and snacks, Pongal is an occasion I quite admire for its significant phase on life. Pongal is a grand festival in Tamil Nadu that celebrates the thanksgiving of nature and harvesting season. On this time, farmers set to harvest their fully grown crops and make Pongal (a dish made by boiling of rice) out of it and dedicate it to the sun, which is the source of energy for all.  Pongal, which celebrated for four days (Jan 14-17), also worships the cattle – which supports human in cultivation for great productivity – and celebration of bulls, for their endurance and mighty on tillage. Though tractors and harvesting machines have replaced the man and animals lately, the small scale farmers are still depend on cattle and I could see bulls ploughing lands, even today at the outskirts of Chennai. This is the time people has to understand, however mechanism has developed to help humans and throw out cattle’s from field, they (bulls) still need to be involved in farming and cows for milking to sustain them from decline.
Pic courtesy: wiki
Just like bulls used for ploughing and bullock carts, Jallikattu is a traditional sports (conducted during the festival of Pongal) where bulls are let loose into an open space (one by one) and man has to control the bull or grasp it for some time. The sports has been banned by the Supreme Court for last couple of years, following the complaint filed by animal welfare activists that bulls are ill-treated during the training and the event. Even though few days back, the central government gave a green signal to conduct the sports played according to the regulations the Supreme Court has formed in its former reports. The Apex Court has once again ruled out the decision of the central govt. to conduct the event and the people who have been in great delight (followed by the union govt. consent) had been disappointed now. I know everyone has an opinion on the sports and reason to support and oppose and for me this is not just a sports, but a way to keep alive the bulls and sustain their relationship. Because I believe, only until the sport is here, the bulls (that are specifically breed for the event) will continue to exist.

The time I appreciate the animal welfare activists, for bringing out the cruelty behind this sport and ill-treats while taming the bulls, upon which the Supreme Court brought some restrictions in conduction the game in 2007 and until 2014 the event has went formal, taking a dramatic change in the pattern of its conduct. The event has been captured in videography thoroughly – to keep certain the rules are followed and bulls aren’t harmed, and the players, who are subjected to catch the bulls, have given uniform and are forced to take physical test before entering the ground. Unlike earlier, where the players and audience are blend with crowed and many who aren’t fit enough are injured through the cause, and  to prevent this the players and onlookers are separated by a strong fence now, and the age is also restricted to be between 20 and 40 for those who like to play. The game’s rules have also been simplified from being insane, where too many hold on a bull and pulling its tail… the players are allowed to grasp only the bulls hump and holding there for 30 seconds or run 30 feet from the entrance (called Vadi Vasal) where the bulls are let loosed.

When things being right and conductors and players are conscious about the rules, what makes the animal activists asking for a ban? I am not supporting animals being harmed in anyways, but I strongly believe without hard work and struggles nothing survives.  Bulls are hardworking animals and if we haven’t let them play and treated in right manner it will becomes weak. Experts believe that a bull with full vigour breeds strong bovines, and for that these animals has to be active and endure.  And only till their need is there, the people will keep support the bulls and for those bovines were the livelihoods keeping them alive and healthy is much needed. Beside these what bothers me more was the survival of bulls! A question rises in me, what is the state of bulls if the Jallikattu is prevented? Or any kinds of activity that involve bulls are restrained? Just being conscious that no animals (the domesticated) are harmed is enough to preserve them? The noted cattle species Kangeyam, an indigenous breed of India, is on the verge of life along with many other species. It’s easy for us to support animal’s welfare and look after our job, which does not involve cattle and it won’t going to bother us further. But for farmers, the animal’s welfare as well the survival of bulls is very important on the race.

The tradition and culture can be transformed according the comfort of life, unless it has nothing meaningful. I don’t see Jallikattu as just the traditional courageous sports, but ways to keep sustain the bulls and active their breed. According to Kala Karthi, Jallikatu is created not for the sports, but for training the users in controlling their bovines. Though I am not sure about the tradition behind it, the Jallikattu is perhaps created to showcase manpower and used as a platform to marry the virgin by taming the bull that reared by her family. Today it is played (maybe) to sustain the practice/tradition and existence of bulls!

RGB Monday

(Today's object is tractor)

Red tractor, but the color has been fated! The picture was captured from the moving car on Grand Southern Trunk Rd across Theni, during my travel to Cloud Mountain.

Green tractor on the Girivalam (coming around hill) road of Tiruvannamalai! It is the road (that comes around the Annamalai Hill) where abundant of people take walk on the full moon day and they believe doing it brings peace to mind and also enhance fitness.

Blue tractor on the Palavakkam beach and it is to use to pull boats that come to shore after fishing and they charge certain amount for the job.

PS. Tractors always fascinate me for their ability to handle any kind of terrain and many a time I wish to go for a ride on tractor. I and my cousin used to discuss how wonderful it would be to modify a tractor into a passenger car, so that we could travel anywhere without a care about road.

Short coconut palms

Pollachi (near Coimbatore) is very popular for coconuts and also called as coconut country, contributes two third of totally productivity in Tamil Nadu. I have been to Pollachi more than couple of times, while on my ways to Valparai and Topslip; I come across number of coconut groves or road traveled amid them.

Low lying tender coconut
The trees stands tall all make wonderful sight across the region but during my drive to Topslip, we were surprise to see short coconut palms with bunch of coconuts hanging very close to ground at the village called Sethumadai. The coconut grove was neatly fenced in thorn wires and stone poles painted in white. But actually the fence doesn’t fascinate me then, like the short coconut palms.

PAP – Best Water Resource Development

Water, the chief ingredient of life is reliance upon rain. We can live even without eating for few days or a week but no life is survived without drinking or sucking water fall as rain. Life becomes trouble in case we took refrain drinking water for whatever reason such as hunger strike; though however noble it might be. Today obesity has drive people to drink plenty of water – which eases digestion and helps removing toxin from body. The advance technology in desalination has made alter routes for getting drinking water from sea, but the natural rainwater still holds lot of benefit on health enhancement.

It’s apparent that no life exists in earth without water and it’s a cycling process where trees help producing rain and rain as its resource. We man disrupt either by placing our self in front row, driving others as much possible aside by building endless homes and business to extreme anti-environment and producing immense population shrinking our  sources. The water was sought not only as a life source or health benefit but also to gain trust of vote in election. The politicians bear water as a vital element to score higher in election, no matter how people suffer or fought for life.

Parambikulam Aliyar Contour Canal
In Tamil Nadu the best water resources developments took place during the Kamaraj’s administrative – the former chief minister of TN; who widely known as Kingmaker in Indian politics, who’s tri-tenure or the nine years administrative (1954-1963) as CM of TN were considered as golden period. During his regime witnessed number of dams built across the state and each one of them were an engineering marvel. The uneducated genius - Kamaraj - plays a pioneer on interconnecting rivers and his head of administration has dug number of tunnels diverting the water to utilize fully.

Among the many major plots he charted on irrigation front, feeding thousands of acres of lands across the state, the 'Prambikulam Aliyar Project' is notable! Carried out on the state boarders of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, PAP is a multipurpose and interstate river valley project diverting and integrating the eight west flowing rivers to the east side to the then drought pone area of the Coimbatore and Erode districts of TN and Palghat of Kerala.  The irrigation network consist of seven major canals, comprising one diversion weir,  seven storage reservoirs, conveyance system and interconnecting tunnels to divert water impound to the plains of Coimbatore and Erode.

Contour Canal
Except the three reservoirs slip into the Kerala state, I have drawn to five of the seven reservoirs lie at various elevations ranging from  +3800 feet and +1050 feet across the Anamalai Hills. Lying at difference in elevation has also made it possible for these reservoirs to generate hydro-power. The Aliyar Reservoir built across the Aliyar River at the foothills of Valparai has its source in the Anamalai Hills. Apart its own catchment area of about 76 Sq. Miles, water to this reservoir is diverted through the Aliyar Feeder canal and the Contour canal from the Parambikulam group of reservoirs.

What you see in these photos is the Contour canal rode from Parambikulam, which is one of the major canals running for a total length of about 250 km. apart various branch canals, distributaries and minors through which about 4.25 Lakhs acres of lands get irrigated. About 5 km from Aliyar Dam, we saw the contour canal crossing the road to Valparai, and this canal carries water to Thirumoorthi reservoir about 35 km from here. The water was at its full fledged during our uphill ride and we stopped there for a while, while our relative explaining its progress. It felt something wonderful when looking at the fresh water rushing through the canal and fact that they pass number of tunnels lasting certain kms into hills.

It seems one of the best sharing projects so far between the states with no major issue based on sharing. To note a point, the PAP project had carried out quite throughout IndiraGandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park which beholds number of endanger and wild animals. It doesn't sound easy for me to dug deep tunnels into the haven of wild animals and infectious insect bites… and in time when everything was suppose to done manually. I couldn't stop praising those heroes involved in this project and the engineers with amazing talent on finding routes.

Footnote:

Pongal, is a harvesting festival of Tamil people, festival of farmers, who feed food for the entire world. It’s a way of thanksgiving natural elements, cattle’s that assist the farmers for good harvest. Pongal is celebrated as four day festival in Tamil Nadu, with the beginning of the Tamil month Thai (Jan 14 or sometime 15) which believed to bring flourish, prosper and hope into life.

As per Tamil proverb ‘Thai Piranthal Vazhi Pirakkum’, which means the birth of Thai will show signs of new path in life. Pongal also marks the cultural identity of Tamil and a route of thanksgiving nature in their unique way of boiling rice – which is the meaning of Pongal; and worshiping cattle’s and sun and rain for their basic sustain throughout the cultivation.

This year the nature wasn't favorable for farmers, as well farming faced a severe setback with lack of rain and prevention of opening Kaveri water from neighboring state, all leads to destruction of crops.I hope and wish nature provides plenty of good deeds to farmers, flourishing ever like before and farmer’s golden paddy grains gain more scope than gold in trade market. So wish you all a very Happy Pongal. இனிய பொங்கல் வாழ்த்துகள்.

Kukkal – Lake and Village

It’s always exciting exploring a place, where the road less traveled and not many foots imprint the soil and cameras stole the scenery; an environment rich in flora and fauna as well pleasure where not many virtual developments take place. Remote from the tourist sight and protected by nature, Kukkal is not so far from the crowded Kodaikanal, the hill station that losing its spirit and pristine beauty unprotected from becoming a quite concrete jungle.

During my vacation at Kodaikanal, last summer, I explored this little paradise called Kukkal or Kookal on the Western Ghats Mountain range of Palani and about 32km from Kodaikanal; the place is so blissful with tranquilly lake and sleepy village atmosphere, comprising shoals and grasslands adjoining the terrace farming. Nestled near the northern ridge of Palani Hills, Kukkal is notable for the high biodiversity of the area and fascinated by frequent mist and rainfall, which account for large variations over short distance.

Winding in mist
Riding on the Poombarai road after certain distance, the mist began to block our way, delighted as well become obstacle going through its dense and even I have travelled on this road once, I’m only familiar with its route map in Google. :D We were traveling on two cars and since I only know where to turn, my uncle left our car to first go – even he was to Kodaikanal many a times, never know this place until I located.

The road to Kukkal is a narrow one, turning on the second left from the road to Poombarai village; the tar road seems relayed by rusted leaves and tall trees standing besides as festoon and green pastures enticing the sightseeing. The road winding down near the Kukkal Lake was very beautiful; alongside the view of the mist floating over the lake was awesome… The lake is the main stream source of the cultivation, even though it doesn’t look clean, but with overall sight of mist and mountains background it was astonishing!  Well I don’t need to say much of the lake, since my photo captured it all to you viewer’s amusement.

Kukkal Lake
There was a Little Grebe swam across the lake leisurely, creating mild ripples tracks which I thought first to be caused by some insects, but only later zoom in on I realize it was a small water bird ‘Dabchick’. I spent only a brief moment on the power wheels (chair) moving on the Lake Bank or road, the mist turned abundantly gray began to rain nonstop leaving only few minutes gap before we leave the place. My cousins, who tented on the green patches opposite to lake, couldn’t withstand the density of rain and leakage in the pretty blue tent forced them to take their seats inside the car, whom enjoying the pitter patter of rain and warmth inside the tent.

Knowing there won’t be anything available to have for lunch, since it’s a remote village and except Kodaikanal there isn’t a decent eat out or affordability around the hills,  so we took ‘cooked rice and sambar’ in hand from our home stay and planned to buy chicken and make fry on spot visited. Though we enjoyed the hot spicy chicken pieces, the rain restricted us from experiencing a quite zeal and destroyed my plan of exploring the beauties around the place on my own wheels power and giving pose in front of those unlike my cousins! Lol

Sleeping village
The lake located in a valley, has cultivation lands from its lowest to higher elevation; and except the monsoon, the terrace farming happens with the catchments of shoals around the lake, which is also a basin for Kudiraiyar River that flows through Kukkal. We rode few meters on road above the lake to check the Kukkal village; even while it was raining we tried to get a glimpse of the village that taking a nap under the mist blanket. Since being an afternoon, there was no one around to receive us but the stair cultivation and its texture were amazing, and I feel glad seeing them very close unlike the distance views of Poombarai and Mannavanur.

There’s a lot to share about this place and plenty of beautiful pictures hold to cherish this charming and fascinating location, filled with picturesque scenes; I don’t want to mess up this post writing them all in a single attempt and crowded with pictures. I captured few photos at 16.9 ratios, to get wide views on slopes and mountains and I recommend this place only for those seeks tranquilly and unwilling to spoil the pristine beauty in name of tourist. (My blog header is also belongs to Kukkal)

Thank you J

Kaanum Pongal and Country side

I happen to reveal a stretch of country side on the outskirts of Chennai between Tiruporur and Echoor, an adjacent area to the west of OMR that met with Mamallapuram. We took this route esp. to avoid the Kaanum Pongal rush and also celebrating the closing day of the festival seasons of Pongal by going out with family which is a practice hold by many.
Paddy field fed on fertilizer
This stretch has villages that still breathing the fresh air of vast paddy fields and reserve forest with many Eucalyptus trees where the village cattle’s grazing and the spread of broken glasses and water packets prove it’s a haven for boozers. The notable and feel so good was the process of farming and the fragrance that lift in air from the paddy fields and small irrigational canals with clean water.
Golden paddy field
At some places the paddy crops has grown well into golden green colors and were suppose to harvest. When machines have entered at large in farming these days, it’s wonderful to see small scale farmers who can’t afford tractors plowing with oxen and this is a best way of farming I could say where both the man and animal survives. I really worry about cattle’s losing its footprints slowing from farming as machineries representing their places, I’m sure if this continues in progress instead of natural dung, only chemical and oil substance will remain in soil as well as spoiling out heath.
Oxes ploughing
As it was the next day off Mattu Pongal, we could see horn painted bulls and at some villages youngsters were playing at the fields on behalf Pongal holidays, as it is a practice at many villages conducting games following Pongal. This is the time people who left the villages on work basis gather to play games and cherish the moment with friends and families. Kanum Pongal has been well preserved this time and there were rows of vehicles and some open top arrived to celebrate the last day of pongal with lot of noise but we went quiet across the countryside and felt so nice.

Balanced growth

We all know that we can’t live without food and how many of us really care for those producing the quite ingredients. Today people all concentrate on development which we all think as computer based and make easy things without hard work and pain by just sitting in front of computers and gadgets and of course it’s not an easy take though, physical ability has reduced and mental strain has increased since we forget to balance either.
Today almost development is based on technology basis and most of them just want to become an engineer and work in MNCs or software companies which pay high and have a wide vision of aboard. I’m not complaining about them or this system based development and thus I never qualified to talk about others and the wisdom based on studies and knowledge, I just express from the views and thoughts I read and felt from.

We all need this kind of development which I have no different opinion from others, but this is not alone a life of living and we need to give total equivalent to agriculture which holds our breath. We all know that it’s impossible to live without eating and food is not quite based of cereal products it also includes vegetable and fruits and if not agriculture where could we get all these from. There used to say there isn’t a best medicine like food!

I’m nothing to say new here but felt to say that the care and concern given for agriculture isn’t right unlike we give to technology based development which lack to look beside either agriculture or its related livestock business and growth. I can’t quite deny that technology isn’t helpful in agriculture any ways, but still beyond an edge is totally based on soil and water resource. What really put down the agriculture was lack of employees who weren’t content with the income and goes in search of jobs in cities and towns.

Today how many youngsters willing to take agriculture as their career and get down in field to make certain for its future progress and productivity. Man, education and knowledge is to develop every individual to think and work on their own and experience a life of great wisdom and values… but how many of them work based on their studies and interest. Its overall experience and talent make one a great employ or CEO.

My question is when one can work with such jobs why can’t take agriculture as a career to make certain it has a bright future to behold beyond its struggle and starvation. The technology has developed a lot and make certain that anything is possible, but why can’t we still bring up the suppressed agriculture and give hand to our foremost life saver and best among the businesses.

I just write what quite mind says about and I’m not much deep in details about the facts to make certain or explain except through sense of what I see, read and come to know that there’s something dying or unconcerned beside great development in technology. What I really want to see was that both technology and agriculture are developed at balance to build a developed India.

Happy Harvesting

Pongal, as we all know it is a harvesting festival celebrated across India in various names and one among it is renowned as Sankranti. Though the festival is celebrated in various forms according to states culture and tradition it commonly signifies the harvest and Maker Sankranti marks the transition of the Sun into Capricorn on its celestial path.

Today the harvesting process has taken various stages in development and machineries taking over the man power in reducing his stress and to increase the productivity. Though we are advanced in technology somehow and somewhere we are still poor in productivity and many people are lacking for essential commodities to harvest and cultivate.

The harvesting is not an easy process like we proceed in Farmville and it need lot of patient and care before going for harvest in time. Thought I am not well aware about the process which could be simple and yet easy we need to feed the seeds and irrigate properly in time before they go dry completely or flooded with water to decay almost, but these days nature has changed irregularly to affect the food productivity that witness in inflation.

Not alone the process has changed; even there are no lands to increase the cultivation to feed the increasing population that taking place the lands to constructions and real-estates. Though we still have enough lands to cultivate grains and vegetables the interest among farmers have reduced to give prior to farming more than seeking for a settlement and questioning why we need to work hard when all comforts goes to citizens living in cities?

I am not intend to talk about the causes that affects in inflation or farming but thinking about the festival the things come automatically in comfort and we couldn’t think any more on this time than farming and harvesting which is the concept of this festival. Though we all have thoughts about farming and want to see it saved from the causes that affect the productivity, the non proper price fixed for seeds and grains produce the trouble among farmers and dwellers who affected by the high rise in price and money.

The Pongal is less than a day ahead and thinking that we are thanksgiving the nature and famers and livestock’s that support us to nourish and survive healthy, I feel so content and happy. The mood of festival cheering me the times thinking about Pongal, which I see it as the best among festival celebrating the harvest. On this occasion I wish that more youngsters come into the field of farming to help our poor farmers and save our future that truly depend on farming.
pongal greeting
Here I go with my Pongal greetings that I designed the latter days and it’s always pleasure to greet with our own depict on thoughts and feeling and it’s been sometime I created greetings that I send to my cousins and I brought one of if here to greet u all a very Happy Harvesting festival of joy, peace, happiness and reliance between relationships esp. friendship...

There are two more cards in flickr here and here.

Mannavanur – beautiful landscape

Mannavanur grassland
Mannavanur is a beautiful landscape, situated at a distance about 35km from kodaikanal, is surrounded by grasslands. I heard about this place for very long time and got the opportunity only now after missing couple of times in past. The Mannavanur Lake is the heart of the place, which could be sighted as soon we enter the huge landscape route. It’s a wonderful view of grass mounds across the valley and water as its center of attraction and surrounded by hills, and little blue sky gives way to picturesque shots. Mannavanur is also a village, mainly depends on terrace farming and agriculture alike Poombarai and holds a sheep research center. And mannavanur is also called as Bison valley.
farming playground
On the way we could see a group of sheep grazing at distance and wished I could be there, but as we moved further the sight disappears and we came across the village and farm lands, particularly an oval shape field looked like a playground stadium, where rows of steps lead to ground. Various vegetables are cultivated here including broccoli, French and butter beans, and the village also provides home made dish to those approach them, even rabbit meat is cooked if requested. There is no particularly place to attract tourist, but if someone is interested like us can go up to the lake leisurely through meadow path, coming across grazing sheeps and rabbit form.
pristine lake
in sheeps land
I had a wonderful time wandering at meadow, getting near sheeps and stream that flows from lake, to the vegetable fields nearby. The mounds of green and chill climate never want me to leave the place, but few members of my family left in hunger drive us to vehicle and the gateway to lake doesn’t seem welcoming in debris and miry. But lake area seems untouched and undisturbed, which is a source of drinking water to the people live less than 100 meters elevation. We moved further away from the place and after the lunch I climbed some distance on wheels along the road lead to kavunji, another village in this region.

I found it was quite silent except the vibration of spraying medicine at fields and the compound of green brown terrace just caught up the eyes. The clouds gathered around the place turned the moment into perhaps rain and so we left before evening. On our way back we stopped somewhere in between pine forest and looked for a falls we found in past, but we’re at wrong indication and even warned by the one who guide us, few of them get down and stick with leeches and unless reaching room none could find it was sucking blood. I was bored to get down into cottage, so we went to the lake bank and spent sometime watching the reflections of light and went around the lake in car which was 6-7km in length.
eye catching

Third eye

More than politics – it’s my thoughts.

Now its time for political buzz in India, ahead of parliament election to form a new government in heed of peoples need, and I have something to say about it. Like many, I too wish for an alternate government to form in center which wasn’t visible to me still, even though a third front dawned to face the parliament election head by Left. What the change we expect is not from the same political parties or politicians and not a political government, but people’s government. That can be given only by those come from public indeed and truly understand the peoples need. Are those contesting in elections are from no political background or support and those independently contest win all the phase? No. This was something rarely happens and like Madhu Koda who was an independent legislator to become a chief minister of an Indian state Jharkhand. We need politicians from public and not from the same background.

I see, there is no more interest in public to enter politics and many are even lazy enough to stand in a queue to poll there rights. Everyone have a dream of becoming a Computer Engineer, Doctor and even ready to become an actor and fashion designer, but not a politician and agriculturist. The rates of those wish and write exams for IAS, IPS and other government official post have been down. For what these courses have been not intended I find was, more than being a respected officer with less earning, its better to settle with much eared through private companies or to live aboard – am very sorry if it hurts somebody here. But doesn’t it have a little truth? I am not accusing totally and everyone have there rights to decide on the present and future, but I too have a mind to wish it would be worth the public interest turn upon politics. Of course there are some people individually won in local elections such as counselor, panchayat… but they are not completely deserved to people and mostly it’s for political influence and power.

The political manifesto is proof how well our politicians understood the people. They never allow people to open there mouth by sticking no cost announcement and free gadgets to everyone. They tell they give more importance to youngster to involve in politics and party, but whom they are if we see are not below 40 nearly. I wish and dream India caught up with more youngsters involve in every form, including politics and agriculture to take country at balance. Never have I said engineering and doctorate are not important, they take them to higher status in knowledge and society, so everyone wish it easily, but at same time there are hard work fields like politics and agriculture seems dry without courage to take steps in advance. I agree the equipments are more advance in agriculture field, but who involves in making product is less and uneducated mostly followed by tradition. It’s not a simple business anyone could do, it cause more strength and life involvement, but when our scientific knowledge adds in progress, we could find increase and easy productivity in cultivation and food processing with enough or little water and price. I would like to criticize the government which promise to turn the wastelands into cultivation, according to manifesto, brought me sorrow seeing there carelessness and isolate to allow the agriculture lands to turn concrete floors.

Back to third eye. When we have illicit and criminals in politics why not some individuals with truly care for society and people. In day today everyone follows the preceded idea alike other politicians, so when everyone sawn at that view, we miss who truly deserve. We are uncertain in finding the right person to heed our need and the reflections cause confuse in selecting true color. It’s so easy to find which is black and white, but everyone heads with a grey color makes us pause from taking right decision in voting. In which belief and cause do people poll there vote and do there questions answered later? In day today with many parties contesting the election, the votes are shattered and no party gets majority and put at risk of uncertain fall. What I wish is any party to come with majority and unity among alliance to strengthen the country and bold enough to take step with knowledge and kind at heart.

Someday I dream, pace of youngsters in parliament and cabinet, lifting up politics and agriculture to standard and make it regard. Clearing away the uproar and confusions, bringing discipline and respect to the leaders and house. The sound and resonance of same in silence and kind of minds to agree in heed of peoples need, keeping away the political grievance. How many leaders today are being inspirational and roll mode to younger generation to say I want to be like this leader and about to follow his path? Don’t we lose hope with corruption and the bad names created by filmdom on politics? Last but not least. I am someone willing to poll my vote in ‘May’ parliament election and I am in a state of mind similar to what I have written above. I like to vote, to whom the matter is uncertain.

The title was something caught my attention from a news i read today.

Something from my mind

Barath tagged me to write whatever comes to mind in 9 minutes of absolute Freedom. I have more than 9 minutes of freedom, so let me put something comes often to mind or I think about.

(i) Who did take away the freedom from me? In wisdom I know the reason, but sometimes in impossibility I seek justice just like a fool.

(ii) What am I doing here, to live on my heart wishes or to compare myself with what others are? Though I am not lying for anything and to hide what interest me. Uncomfortably I feel not taking anything series to mind, just living the moment freely and one thing I never want to lose is my conscience.

(iii) Most of the time reading filled my life, and what I am learning through fill me with knowledge. Just only concentrating on good things reading will not allow knowing another side which would be not good. We must know what is not good around us, so then could think how to clear them with good knowledge.

(iv) Being happy about what was enjoyed before that can’t be experienced now. I wonder as climate change the characters and values of people would also be changing? Something what spreads later colorfully is not collected today to spread beautifully. The joy is missing and to mind it can’t accept the inconvenience resist by unknown reason which is left without anybody to seeking.

(v) What gives us food is found lying without shelters prevent beating from heavy sunshine. The higher education helps to intermediate, but none seems like interested in what makes us live today and tomorrow. Thinking about infrastructure there is no doubt in it, well it need; as well none should forget our depth that holds our breath. When we know for constructing a building the strength of the foundation is important, but when comes to life how much we need that support. Many educated expect the occupation in the only field they learned and what earns them more. I am not to accuse any, but I see no literate is ready to pay there attention on the fields of agriculture. The knowledge is to know everything, but never said to lose the depth of life and what is important.

(vi) Love is no more than anthing sharing with others. Many a time the world resists talking with strangers, even though those faces are not strange. I think to how it would be nice if people shares the moment just for bring a human being. There is no use to born and die, in between gape we needs people and love to last till our last breath. I don’t know whether to conflict or leave to the love of someone I have on if I only lose generally which is more for the few minutes of memories? Just for self satisfaction and to be true to my love I leave them to see they are happy. Much time I really hurt that my love is not understood and unfinished.

My views on 60,000 crore waive, the mark budget

Was late to share some thoughts about Indian budget because to the lack of internet connection on weekend. It was a marked budget by finance minster to waive 60,000 crore (600 billion) farmers loan in his announcement at parliament. It’s a good news for farmers who struggle to repay for the banks without much productivity, but how much this cancelation of loans help there future?... it may reduce the burden of past and present, but for future they still have the way to go. I feel instead of looking at the loans, the government may get a solution for what sent them to this place, and how to save farmers from committing suicide defeating the drought. Commonly we know the water scarcity is big problem in many parts of India for agriculture and second the funds for producing food grains while taking care on feeding cattle’s, money for laborers, medicines and other machineries. Even though waiving the 60,000 crore, its not going to bring a great changes in there life, still with empty hands and only without burden of borrowed, but also there are people left out who where getting money from private lenders and those repaid the money in a struggle situation and those already left there life who couldn’t pay.

Then, there was no announcement or sign to concentrate on linking rivers in the current budget, if anything happen on this would make solace for whole farmers across country. After waiting for something like this, good that our state of Tamil Nadu has comes to find directions for linking main rivers in state to avoid situations of floods and droughts. This budget is like showing colorful wafers and tasteless inside. Except cancelation of loans, the government was not suppose to save the farm lands turning rise on real estate and looking for flat promoters. I was on the suburbs this weekend, was really disturbed were the most fertility soil marked by stones for sale and the farm wells and lakes are filled with waters, but grounds empty without green. I stop for why not anyone to save the golden grasses from the destruction by humans, and thought about the budget that nothing does to help people on saving the well growing lands to bury under concrete floors.

In peoples mind this 60,000 crore farm loan cancelation puzzled, where the government would increase the Tax and put burden on common people to adjust the loan. Finance minister assured the banks, it could settle the amount of 60,000 crore within three years, but I think would he still be the finance minster for the upcoming 3 years? But alike this, can he assure there won’t be increment on tax debt? And second they announced tax reduction for small cars and 2-3 wheelers, oh I felt who needs this. Already the cities are gone into struggle in lack for controlling the traffic and increasing vehicle population. These days even the suburbs are not left alone from traffic of vehicles… in this time the tax less on it would rise the situation worst without proper roads first. The increased in tax for Computers would sure affect the public, were it was much useful device these days for people and in times people mostly middle class and lower are looking for systems and knowledge. Looking at everything on loan or the differences in tax, is nothing makes big difference on public , where it sunshine here and somewhere the dark night exist, so we can’t expect the sun to shine everywhere, but here the shining was overlooked above.
