Monkey drinks Mirinda

As you all know there are monkeys (bonnet macaque) in our neighborhood and they invade our residence frequently, but lately their activities has been increased and become troublesome. We can’t let open the backdoor unlike before if no one is at hall. We have no idea when they bang and are ready to dread in no time. Past week a couple of big monkeys entered our home and treated on the apples and biscuits on the dining table and moreover scared my mom before she shoo them away. But they haven’t left alone, rather took away the biscuits along with the box that was full of Sunfeast Maire.

IMG_3621

This is not the first time they stole the biscuits along the box, but our pretty dog chased them away restoring the biscuit box that was almost empty. They take bunches of biscuits and force them inside their mouth to look funny with swollen on each side. There’s no surprise monkeys being like that, though they make troublesome sometime there’s some fun bear through their act like the one sipping Mirinda (a soft drink) in the picture below.

IMG_3622

The workers, who constructed the ramp in front of our house to prevent rainwater set foot inside the home, has left the soft drink on the compound wall got  into the hand of a monkey, which after rolling and drooling, lid open and  tasted the juice. We couldn’t get near the monkey, fearing of unpredictable, the photo was shot from distance to giveaway the quality in images.

Master checkup - an ever undergone trouble!

I took a master health checkup two days back in a clinic close to our house and suppose to find out that almost everything is normal except slightly increase in blood sugar and indication of BP (blood pressure) in ECG. Though the results are not unfavorable, I had tough time going through one of the test (abdominal ultrasonography) to which I was instructed to drink plenty of water until my tank get full. It wasn’t difficult actually to drink more water, but to control without passing urine until the test complete was quite a struggle and terrible task.

I drank about 1.5 liters of water an hour before we are suppose to be there and as soon we enter the clinic, the bladder began to urge for a release but there was no symptom of call for the test. We waited for half an hour; the receptionist doesn’t have an answer whereas only saying doctor will come soon… wait for five minutes. There were two more five minutes gone and the doctor hadn’t arrived. I was going through severe trouble in bladder or abdomen and don’t want to take the risk of mess up with pants. It was a moment I couldn’t think of anything, lying on the bed next to the scan instrument, the attendant asked to think about what I like more (to divert the  pissing thought)… I could only say the hell!

It was I who want to take the master checkup to confirm everything is fine on basic terms of health (dealing with MD is a different matter), it’s been a year and a half I took a similar one, which confess the diabetes and I know someone who is in sitting position always could invite side effects and with the aid of diabetes anything is possible. I am trying my best in controlling sugar (don’t believe him, he ate half a cup of palkova - a sweet made of milk and sugar - two days early to test) and was regular with medicine and physiotherapy seems to cause an effect only to sustain.

The abdomen scan doesn’t last more than five minutes but I was going through immense pressure enduring urine and I was only back to normal with everlasting pissing. Sigh! Later I went taking chest X-ray and ECG and following a meeting with doctor and physical exam, I was advised on certain terms to follow and regular check with BP as he find it abnormal. I could only think it is because of intense pressure I went through the abdomen scan had resulted in blood pressure and a mild symptom in ECG. I know it was worth going through the trouble but I don’t know whom to blame - the doctor who came late or I drink water early - anyhow there wasn’t any problem gracefully. J

AttaKathi – unique

I watched this good film, 'AttaKathi', with my cousin on Tuesday evening in Drive-in; and it was a Tamil movie captured on a phase of life of a casual youth who seeking for love and it wasn’t like watching a movie, but just checking out the next door.  Every character we come across the movie was so real and natural and even everyone are new faces, it wasn’t feel strange but too familiar like we interact every day in neighborhood.
AttaKathi is a combine of two Tamil words referred to ‘cardboard knife’ and the main character of the movie is lead by the title, who entice like a hero to become only zero!  The movie is all about the hero ‘Dhina allies Dinakaran’ who fall in love for every beautiful girl he come across and he leads a group of friends whose vow is to only love and marry... but at a moment in frustration that no one loves him, he decides love is not for him and changed his attitude and style, which leads him to college... where once again love knocks at the door.

The actor doesn’t expresses a gem of acting but his causality gets applauds and whenever he tries to react to emotion or impress a girl he leaves us aloof and laughter. There are many locally things in the movie that would cherish anybody who grows around Chennai and the bunch of Gaana songs are one of an enchanting of the movie, we get to experience after a long back.

Among the two more girls, Poornima holds charm somewhat on the screen; and buses play an important role in the movie where most of the scenes were captured inside the bus and on the footboard. Dhina is called as route thaala (leader) by everyone in college, which I am hearing first time, words used to describe the leader of the bus that en route to college; and something that I find great relief was that on one used cell phones!

It isn’t a usual love story where failures taken into serious destruction or depression, but everything were left lighthearted and like there’s an end, there’s a beginning... the love starts seeing another girl. The background score were somehow reminding the theater performance and the songs are unique and interesting to listen through refreshing lyrics! Aasai Oru Pulveli is my favorite song.

Atta Katha... deserves watching for its innovation and refreshing indeed!

Eyes and Specs

The excess blinking of eyes for few days last week was tough indeed, sending me excess strain on eyes while reading, talking and looking at laptop and television, it was very difficult to notice anything by evening when lights are turned on. We thought it was because of weakness and vitamin deficiency which I believed too, but I wasn’t sure leaving it off and eyes left wet often while reading and staring at television want me to check with doctor.
The excess blinking last for nearly 4 days before coming down to least fraction, I still wanted to go to an ophthalmologist and on Monday we checked one of an eye specialist in our neighborhood waiting for nearly an hour. This is the first time I checked with an ophthalmologist in my life and she was very kind and since well know to my grandmother who check with her regularly it was easy to convey with her familiarly and she tested my eyes on the biomicroscope and asked to read the eyes chart.

I felt myself funny while reading eye chat and I was right on the letters even without used the test glasses, but she recommended spectacles for me for reading and viewing monitor  after testing 0.75 power on Distance Vision (DV). I never thought I would have to wear spectacles and don’t know how well it gonna change my look but I understand it’s need and glad I don’t need to wear it always except reading and watching monitor, the glasses has a anti-reflective coating to protect eyes from computer radiation.

The doctor didn’t get fees for me and she’s so humble checking everyone and inquiring at general. I wasn’t interested on selecting specks as I have no idea before getting one, but went for as usual simple and neatly framed and light coated in color. I think she recommends specs for everyone who visits her as I saw two third leaves ordering specs at the optical shop permanently placed within the clinic. I was advised to check yearly as I have diabetic, eyes are the first to get affected.

Fairy falls, Mist and Fun evening

It was a lovely dawn for me on the hills of Kodaikanal during our second day on vacation and the sun beams flashes between the trees just made my day very refreshing and warm from the cold night. The frost window panes were melting slowly from moisture to droplets to cause beautiful texture reflecting to the woods green backyard of the Yorke House of CSI Retreat Center. The Yorke House, nested atop the center surrounded by tall trees of pine, eucalyptus and yellow mimosa quite retreat weather is wet or sunshine.
My world :)
Whom i consider my world, Parents (click each image for enlarge)
After the breakfast in the restaurant of CSI Retreat, we spent some time taking photos to one of a picturesque background of green and mist passing and they all come out very beautiful as family photos. Thus we aren’t new to Kodaikanal and having no plan to go where, it’s my choice to choose the place I haven’t revealed and certainly there’s a place  not to miss this time and it’s the Fairy Fall.
Fairy falls
Fairy Falls
The Fairy waterfall is 5km from Kodaikanal on the road leading to Observatory and there’s a small sign board indicating the falls isolated from the tourist attraction. A road slide down from the main road makes the ride narrow and the falls has been brought under the horticulture garden to close by gate but there was none to stop us, so we went opening the gate with no sign of falls and the only visible was bank of mist.
Fairy Falls
It was cool indeed and later the mist moved, we get to see the wet rock expose to lack of water and above the marsh beneath a round-turn platform is build to check the falls near. Even it was disappointing to see the falls without water, I could imagine the wonderful it was suppose to fill if there was enough water. Some websites claim the old famous Liril soap ad was shot here and it is also called as Liril falls, where the late pretty girl Karen Lunel clad in bikini play with soap and water. But I’m not sure it’s that Fairy fall or Pambar fall!
Amid mist
Mysterious mist... bliss
We still hold time for lunch and so went around and during the season time the road lead to Pillar Rock would be one way and we have to take diversion at upper lake view and it took us nearly two hours to come across the Pillar Rock as caught between heavy traffic jam! It was never like before crowded and vehicles were standing for few kms and it was completely mist blanked, cool and fun throughout the slow-motion. One of my dear cousins took the steering first time on hills and I was the guide of him on routes and encouraged him a lot to go ahead and him soon become familiar on Ghats.
Indian Hummer
My hummer, Scorpio car
In between the hide and seek of sun, clouds and rain we had great time playing after the noon lunch and we have nothing to do then than going on chatting and women playing  musical chairs, badminton and rings. I personally had fun identifying the silent deeds of movie names and I kept clicking with my camera while they keep on playing, laughing and smiling and it was a worriless moment indeed.
The Kodaikanal Lake was almost misted and crowded by tourist this time and we had a pleasant evening sit back to the bank of Lake Platform before heading to the CSI Retreat where the real fun and treat waits for us. It’s the camp fire which is very special to me and this is the first time I am experiencing it like ever fun indeed! My uncle arranged it for me and we were all around sat to chairs waiting for the service maid to light the fire woods and as soon it went to flame the gala time begins.
Fun around Fire
The cold was almost drive away and a warm feeling began to embrace and the sense of dancing in others slowly caught fire to the songs played in our car. It was a wonderful experience for me enjoying the bonfire as well sharing the moment while others having fun dancing around. Our enthusiasm last over 10pm and even it rained amid we never mind of getting inside and used the chairs as umbrella holding about the head and kept moving creating a new dance style!
Campfire
Camp Fire
It was a moment like never experienced before so enthusiastically and the night might always remind in mind as treasure and even the entire trip was remarkable and memorable to never hide away.

OK OK

Named after one of my favorite Tamil song from SMS, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (OKOK) is made with an intention to make audience laughter and with the support of Santhanam, Director Rajesh has given a completely entertainment movie without much cared about a story unsure. The producer Udhayanidhi as a debut actor and along with Hansika Motwani, has tried their level best at just acting than stressful character.
The entire movie is nothing without Santhanam and he’s has led the movie so well bringing the audience back to theater and gave a laughing treatment to everyone… but somehow at same time enjoying lot the comedy, there is a kind of repeatedly irritating. Unwisely everyone looks so white and bright on screen and the already white beauty Hansika have been whitewashed and the expressions of the lead were not so real and casual to impress.

The director has tried to maintain his style of comedy and perhaps succeeded with the support of Santhanam and National award winner Saranya has done a beautiful role of a mother who encourages her son’s love. The music was not so impressive and felt so repetition of Harrish Jayaraj’s previous hits and unlike Rajesh’s previous movies the melodies where not soothing.

The peppy song Venam Machan… is a good Gaana from Harrish jayaraj for the first time and the Azhage Azhage… is a duet beautifully captured the stunning deserts of Jordon and Egypt. The cinematography was pretty clear, sharp and colorful! The movie OKOK gives double guaranty for a good laughter and humor which many often miss to check between their always busy lives.

#The post is about the Tamil movie Boss ‘n’ Baskaran, which is quite entertainment I watched last evening in Drive-in theater.

Goa – the movie!

Alike the name, Goa is fun, bold and beautiful!

There’s no hard sentiment or serious action, the story moves in aim of aimless that almost happy going moments.

The songs are very colorful in picturesque and enthusiastic in a mix of western, folk and melody. I love Idhu Varai (something familiar I feel) and the Goa.

The main characters have a brief time and everyone gets chance to express there characteristic.

Must appreciate director to capture the gay relationship in a decent manner and the jack (Sampath) acts very sweeter and thus it doesn’t took much space for good.

The movie that blows village scent at beginning recalls karakattakaran, and the panjayath moment is one of the funnies in many.
Piya is very sweet and cute in all the three heroines and to wonder where hides this stylish and glamour’s Sneha these years. Lovely

Everyone looks very different and new, except the unchanged face of villages and restrictions, that seems very boring.

The background scoring is fantastic; Vaibhav’s vocal is something different and funny.

The white girl’s expressions, vocal and smile are very pretty.

There is an expectation from Venkat Prabhu after Chennai 28 that he will give a very different movie, far away from others, which will give much importance to entertainment and fun in a way.

After long time we went to a night show in drive-in, as I don’t want to miss the movie thus it was the last show in the drive-in due to release of Asal on Friday. On Wednesday we checked for an evening show, but the timing wasn’t changed from the previous shows kutty and so turned home.

Btm. More than fun, its funny - Goa!

Paper poem

படித்ததை எழுதி பட்டம் பெற;

They gave money to buy paper
to write what learned to get degree;
I too got the degree - kite
not by learned, but to get fly

Money does many things
but there’s no paper
no money

பேப்பர் மடித்து விட்ட கப்பல்;

Forgetting the thought of getting soaked
to fold paper to leave boat;
to sail without overturn and soak
the moment went on holding umbrella
always remain in mind without dissolving.

Words, M or F

The following was my comment at keshi recent post and thought to make it a post here and it was just fun play to simply say which words are male or female, and to reason why they’re. And I just wrote what comes by mind at that moment. Just fun alone.

Printer – Female, since she delivers babies through a program done with male. (women is not a delivery machine ok)

Surgery – Female, even through surgery we can’t see what’s in there mind.

Keys – Female, in most of the homes it hangs on there hips.

Words – Male, hardly says facing women’s eyes

Blogs – Female, there occupation is more in blogs and I have more girlfriends here like never. hehe…

Water – Female, since there’re more rivers in India having female names, and the way women carries the water in pots on there top(head) looks beautiful and we also know they bear so much struggle every day then and now to fetch water in pumps and lorries.

Death – Male, because we lose our courage very soon and female are strong enough in nature. (I see it from my own experience in life)

Time – Male is the small arrow and female is the bigger one in the clock, because females does many works in time by going around many rounds in time male comes a round. So it’s female.(I keep in mind the office going man and homemade women, and man has a work to do in office, since she has many works to do at home and office, in case she works)

Sound – Female sounds sweet and they have beautiful throat to sing and I don’t tell males aren’t.

Banana – Male, I don’t like bananas except the hill grown and I see most man eat banana.

TV – Female, and the other meaning of TVs are now mega serials. There’re lots of homemakers in this world addict to mega serials and I wish these idiot boxes closed soon, before people become quite idiots.

Money – Males go behind it always to satisfy there females and children.

Tummy – The inseparable part of males easily. After the boon of TV, computers and IT sectors, the age has swept away in falling tummies.

Trains – Female, as they pulls their whole family in order on a track, and any male would derail seeing a pretty women.

Hollywood – Is there anything attractive than females? And the city where Hollywood itself has a link with Angeles and how angels could be a male?

Kiss – Anyone would get kiss and all kisses would never be like given by our mother, girlfriend and lover. Every kiss has a sense of love and we almost get it from a female.

Window – We cause to see nature as women, since she gives birth to human. I often see nature exist outside my widow and my admiring moon is described as a woman, who is a Female.

Work – Male, it makes him sustain and creates a pride in this world. I do feel many times when a working person gets prior than me. It also keeps male from thinking about women.

Rain –It’s a cause of nature, isn’t it? I love rain and anyone would like a girl dancing on rain. Female

Eclipse mania

Today was total solar eclipse and we all know it’s a general occurrence by nature, even yearly we have eclipse this time it was a rare event that last the longest of 21st century. This doesn’t make me awe and as usual we expected the sight was blocked by clouds, and what really made it special was the total eclipse almost across India. But what I like to say about was belief. In whatever manner the scientific knowledge and understanding grows, but still people believe that moon hide the sun on eclipse and reflect its shadow on earth is devil caught up with evil. Eclipse might be believed or described as bad omen in earlier times when science wasn’t understood, but even after many years of man landed on moon and well aware about universe, few people still believe in things that has no meaning and existence.

I just wonder in disbelief at one of my cousin’s act upon eclipse and what she did in name of belief. She ate a day before eclipse, by 6pm in evening and went on fast till midday. I have heard people saying in past that eating anything at the period of eclipse won’t digest, but what she did is simply foolish and being educated. I know education and belief are something distinct and I like to see sense and knowledge on both. Then, there go the astrologists making certain promise that something gonna happen to earth on the time of eclipse occur and possibility of earthquake or tsunami. But I’m not sure those astrologists truly know what tsunami means before the December 26th incident? We know the earth stability is because of some gravity force from sun and when moon come across, a question could rise on the changes of substance, but obviously there haven’t been any incident happen so far on eclipses.

There’re times people have been saying and following the tradition of taking bath after eclipse are over. As a child I have also conveyed the same by my parents and those days we never ask why and just follow what parents say. I have heard mom saying that people also wash there homes and drop whatever is left to feed and cook newly dish after eclipse, and we were never allowed to go out in times of eclipse. I feel it’s simply offensive to follow these and I see in disbelief people used to practice it deliberately. Don’t we realize to change ourselves with what we got in knowledge? And if we don’t want to turn the illusion, then why do we need to learn new things to develop our sense and knowledge? And the important thing of learning is to drive folly.

Wee cup pup

Like a tiny doll in white fluff, just 3.2 inches tall, the Maltese pup reached just more than a height of teacup is among the world’s smallest sleeve dogs. Scooter, the six month-old pup, is also weights less than a block of butter at 400gm that too while wearing clothes – a regular purple sock jersey, so that she is seen easily around the home and to prevent inevitable injury that would result at a wrong step. The owner of Scooter 'Cheryl McKnight of New Zealand’ says the pup feeds from an egg three times a day and sleeps in a shoebox, does everything a normal dog does.

Another tiny pup vying for the status of being smallest in world is Tom Thumb. Even he is younger than Scooter, his owners convince he’ll still be shorter than the current record of smallest dogs by length when he’s an adult. At three weeks old, Tom Thumb measured less than 4 inches from nose tip to tail tip; and is believed to grow more than an inch or two. Beyond anything astonish, these diminutive dogs are absolutely cute and I know u too will agree.

The tiny scooter reminds me of maya, while she was alike when she was small with those pretty eyes and nose.

Dirty sheep

Dirty sheep
I find those sheep roaming beside roads near Pykara waterfalls in Ooty. Seems like they survive by eating something left on roadside and what attracts is there unclean! We were discussing how much soap and shampoos need to clean them and sure they can act in washing soap ad for being unclean, thus a flashing beam could showing them unstained after using either soap. Cool!

Slough like startle

Late night or early morning before the dark exit, waken to experience a funniest moment. Maya begins it all by yapping sometime like non-stop nonsense and we warned her few time to be quite, but still she continues barking differently and we know she would easily frighten anything for dissimilar, so finally made attend her unreason barking and mom lights on to glance for what she resonant. Mummy was manic for a second to hasten us there was a snake under the cot! We shook asking her, what u are telling. Are u sure snake under the cot? Mom replayed yes, and makes us to get out soon, as she removes maya loosing her chain tied in the cot. We don’t know whether to believe or not with strong doubt is that some other looking like snake, but what to do ‘pamba parthu padaiea nadungum bothu, intha payan emmathiram’ (when a force itself tremors witnessing snake, what exception this boy) haha… jokes apart in little scare ‘muzuka nanaitha piragu mukkadu eatharku’ (when dissolved fully why to close with a curtain) lol; ok in scare I called mom to bring wheelchair quicker and was out of bedroom in less than a minute.

And mom wants to call watchman, dad too conform its snake alone and both scare, but bro make calm and guessed it should be some snake like curtain roll. Bravely he goes ahead with a stick to move the cot, I warned in hesitate, though he moved and too the snake like thing. He bring out the snake what is lounge suit design, which revels like slough in dim light and it’s all just scare and rumor remains created by mom. And we can’t blame her incase in manner to look anything strange startle. Thus we no need to wonder if there was a real snake under the cot, as we know there are snakes and mongoose at other side of our neighbor compound which covers an empty ground with compact woods and creepers. Rarely we visible the snakes spin on branches and in ground, purl and rustle of plants like snakes moving and noises of mongoose fighting! Laughing myself thinking this funny incident throughout the day, and teasing mom for her innocence behavior, to join with uncle its gone a laughter day today.

Happy weekend buddies :)

Well-known

Solitarily sitting on hanger
I see on every rainy, sunny
and all single day’s I gaze
the staying unchanged

In clouded sky they symbolizes
easily available to sight, but
it’s the same or different,
very difficult to identify exactly
because all are identical color

A large group of visitors
the most special guest on observance
representing forebears; for more
there speech signs fortunate
to think befall something unforeseen

The only disturbing fellows, doing mess
to disrespect our honorable leaders
to make visibly horrible; for more
this familiar bird looked everywhere
across continents they live freely
and to call them easily tighten your throat
now shout kaa kaa... kaa kaa...

hehe...a funny poem

How the word mokkai did come into existence?

Once a pone time when an Englishman was covering all the blades in a blade factory, unfortunately one such blade cut through his finger. Every one around him was tensed and they came to help him, but as the blade was not sharp he wasn’t injured. He told the blade is not sharp, I am okay, I am okay, I am okay’…

Others mistook it as ‘I mokai, I mokai and later by translation it became mokkai. So how is this Mokkai?

Cross marriage

Our people always have come with reason to tell for their superstition. In rural village sides they call donkey marriage, when they organize a wedding between a male and female donkey, where they hope it will bring rain, after that it was frog wedding and every village has their own way for superstition, according to some tradition. Here the reason is different in Selakumar and Selvi’s marriage, actually it’s a kalappu tirumanan (mixed marrage).

Selvakumar, a 34 year old farmer from Tamil Nadu’s Sivagangai district have been stoned to dead two dogs in his rice field and hang them on a tree some 15 years ago and felt unfortunate. He was clueless when he later disabled from hearing, speaking and walking, but where he find an astrologer he told him he was cursed by the spirits of the dogs he had killed and to curse only if he marry a dog and live with it. Then, after a long search he found his pair selvi a four-year-old mongrel bitch and the wedding took place at a Hindu temple. Where Selvi was dressed in sari and flowers and brought to temple and the proceeding where held with a priest before cheering crowds.

The poor selvi was however attempted to escape from them, but was eventually traced down and returned to her new husband. But safely this dog is only for lifting the curse and after that he plans to get a real bride. BBC News
