Kodanad, en-route Kotagiri

Pleasant views

Thus it does happened to be the last day in Nilgiris, where the majority increases in our families against unbearable cold, that was the amount of clouds and rain lasted before night and make all grasping while on shopping, but am wished one more day to stay. And no arguments, I can’t go against none and agreed getting down by eventide. Before, we had much time and moved ahead to Kodanad which is 15 km from Kotagiri, that some 40+km from Ooty. I have heard about this place and the pleasant weather almost throughout the years and very calm comparing Ooty. As my cousin studied in St. Jutes Public School, Kotagiri, for a year then, so I get to know every time he describes the place and his wish that I come there before he leaves, but unfortunately he left the school when I was visiting there. By 10am we left the hostel and reach Kotagiri through some sharp curves and turns, along more green and tea estates, with clouds flew sending shades on slopes and the dark Blue Mountains...

My cousin’s school & Blue Mountains

The 15km drive from Kotagiri reaching Kodanad is full of green tea estates, somewhere people picking leaves and villages with factories besides beneath sending smokes mixes with mist and the rust lands yet to cultivate. And what more, the rain yet to come circumstance and dark clouds covering peaks are just amazing and pleasant ever. The road finally end at the Kodanad view point, where the road keeps on stretching, I am searing and still kept going around the green estates…. And thus I seek, hence I can’t visible the Kodanad estate big-house belongs to the former CM of our State and the time she was staying there when we were.

Rangasamy Peak & Milky falls

Little far that sights the Rangasamy Peak, from the view point, that seems like a holy hill for the people on this region and it’s like the peak refers to a divine. It conforms through wiki, ‘this is a shrine visited by thousands off pilgrims from kongu region and other places yearly.’ Just right below glanced a quite beautiful falls, flows like milk poured and far away through blurred mist, visible a squirm path that thinks to the Bavani River what my cousin told. More than the peak and valley, it’s the green tea gardens surrounding the places simply fresh the views and clean air and weather situation feels awesome… want to be there again sometimes later, just sitting on the monkey’s seat, ‘the defense stones on ghat roads, where monkeys sit often’, and enjoy my stay quite alone just like that.

Kodanad valley & Tea plant cultivation

It was nearly 4pm we get back to hostel in ooty, ate our lunch and get packed things climbing down the other side. The majority of those wish is to visit Mysore and it was delayed by 6pm in evening climbing down in dusk. The southwest monsoon is in rush, seeing the dark clouds to saying ‘if u stay here I will hit u back’. It’s another fun and thrill to write on traveling on this stretch towards Mysore, clearly its night going on the forest ride. I just want to extend the writing on this elevation, so it may continue in other post. Thank you.

My view on Dasavatharam

Actually I was thinking it must be some usual film with hero impersonate in different getups. But no, I am almost wrong in guessing the film and felt surprise at each and not even to think it’s a universal actor behind those easily sighted odd figures. I sense here, where in any place can’t feel the other person is same. Only to think, I wonder at this great fantasist film in his sight changing. Have seen more films under this category, where each character would have some similarity and to be easily identified, but Kamal Haasan has done a great job in Dasavatharam taking away most important character as him and aside proving there needs an actor not the face.

Taking inches of a blue tube spreading virus, Kamal staged all sorts of entertainment and actions. To mention importantly the chasing scenes which are more powerful and grand alike comes in Arnold and Bond films. The flying helicopter in chasing and gun shooting action sequences are like Hollywood quality, which is something new for Tamil. For nearly half-hour there was the confusion state of what is happening and the disturbance of US language and unclear subtitles after the rare piece from the history. Further it slowly gets into the track and surprise at each characters affiliation into the story. Especially the Balram Naidu the one in his voice and body language expressions stands still in mind, the way he makes laugh as investigating officer and in chasing scene was well funny. And the second most liked character is the 95-year-old women. She not alone makes fun and also touches with the innocent inside her. This must be difficult one, well kamal shows how talented he was in bending to the figure and expressing to the nervous vibration to give a real effort. A great attempt!

Back to the 12th century of empire period, we get to see a strong and bravo Kamal as Rangaraja Nambi who tries to stop the Chola King destroying his believable Vishnu Idol from the temple. It was such a grand venture with pictorial excellence merges in real and graphical along with the music to tell wow fantastic! The bad ex-CIA officer Fletcher nearly comes equally to main character and it stands on screen for more than the character on the perfect makeup one could challenge. As up to a point I can’t identify it is also an avatar of Kamal! The Japanese character and President Bush, visible the mask fixed on face though it was nice and I see those are just to add the avatar. And the naughty monkey’s end in the lab and in climax same happens for the ex-CIA is something aversion.
First time watching the songs, what exist in mind thinking past comes down little. The song Oh... Ho... Sanam presents the effort its courage and excellent dance moments and the beautiful pair Jayaprada and kamal. Mukundha Mukundha is the all time comforts in mind. The pictorial was enjoyable. I feel, without Asin (heroin) it won’t be at all nice and her innocent anger and get on saving her perumal idol she feels lovable….. None other than her can be imagined filling the character of Andal, loving Perumal.

‘One, who is unaware of this film and Indian cinema would really get wondered by this film and our actor,’ is what am tell to dad while returning from drive-in. Oh, it started to pour heavily after by interval to put us inside car to watch in mute for sometimes where it incompletes the dalit social worker enters in stiff dark face and eyes. Kamal shows a very different voice here! If one misses the end song is missing the worth of the whole creative and hard work at every characters difference. I wonder why some people tell this film is waste and Shivaji is best, but for me it’s excellence in feeding advance and showcase talent. What gives disappoint is the disappearance of the very early 12th century and left untouched then. I can’t understand what relates this to the narration and what the idol exist in last tells. And what not, he brings a bunch of actors across and used as per adding sugar. The tsunami was a real fantasy more than the only few scene remains then which is one mainly expected. For every question of the character they answered in end. Little disagree may comes on expect, but just comes by gives great amazement which I get watched.

Save the valued

The series problem presently we face is the petrol and diesel inadequacy in fuel stations throughout Chennai and suburbs. ‘It’s a temporary lack because of the delay of tanker ship to arrive’, the companies complain to customers. ‘I stay in line for more than 3 hours and our requested liters are not filled; what they ask is great price which doubles the amount for a liter’, public voice. I don’t know whether the lack has lasted before ever that too throughout a city and its surroundings at a time? After the price rise of fuel by central govt. thereupon the ordinary petrol are unavailable in many fuel stations and only premium are forced as burden upon then heads. Today and yesterday city sighted the vehicles standing for a long row which extends along the roads for getting petrol and diesel, and the heavy traffic jams everywhere took hours to clear.

What we have to realize now is how important the fuel are and to learn to make reduce them and avoid unnecessary use of vehicles. I wonder now, how much liters of gasoline must been released into atmosphere everyday and just a day of inadequate makes big trouble in peoples life. Thinking about what’s important to the current life and not to waste unnecessarily what are to save for our future. Just coming out of person, the three important things what everything is depending within are the Water, Fuel and Electricity. Because without these three, life faces big setback and there is no life to survive. The nature has given more than enough, just not for us alone, for every life on the earth. How much do we care on saving electricity? By saving it we not only reduce our monthly electric bill but also the shortage can be adjustable and it avoids wastage of energy which produce heat.

There are some what money can’t buy and the intelligent and awareness brings more for our life from nature. One on the line is solar energy and wind energy which brings electricity from the natures given. Solar water heater is a very useful tool to bear electricity, which takes more energy to heat water. Recently I felt it pleasure bathing on this water, something like that I have taken sun bath. Not more warm and cool. In our cities we rarely see those heaters on terrace and the more aware on using it must bring front, and after just feeling that I wish to fix the solar heater to enjoy the pleasure.

What are we wasting today is like the water stored in our pot, as we take tumblers of water it begin to reduce and once tumbler hit the pot over’s all. Fuel is what like our pot of water, which is a limited existence on earth. How could it be ones it void earth ? What we seen in development struck then. The only other option in use is to produce more Biofuels thought agriculture and plantation which needs water, the important sources and a different subjects according to states and countries. So the things are related within three. Water to Live, Fuel to Transportation and Electricity to operate multi electronic systems, that’s mean to move life more easier and pleasurable.

The current critic that something makes the central govt. to walk on knife is the Indo-US nuclear deal. I need to express, that political entry on protesting of often electric shortcut needed to be thought why it happens, if it was like this then, what about the future. Where do we go and hang for electricity. Those oppose the deal have some own party manifesto, but how could it be a national policy and to enter its interest on need. I see there is some control and restrictions on making this Indo-US agreement, looking into future India should be clear before going ahead that in any way it not affects our self protection and it does nothing with defense secret, the main reason for this deal is to use nuclear for civil use alone.

After-noon, nearby Ooty

By noon after return from garden, we eat the prepared lunch and left to Doddabetta, which is summit of Nilgiris, meters 2,623. The name Doddabetta adapted from the language kannada, which means Big Mountain, Dodda and betta. It’s a place we nearly get a panoramic view of the Nilgiri’s small villages, houses of Udagamandalam, far away mountains sometimes covered by mist and beneath shoals and forest like thick raised trees. This summit is an 11 km drive from ooty, climbing the road that covered by both sides of whip trees leads to this top. As we move further the cold was sensed more and the quiet path (that was more than years back when I visited) of peaceful pleasantly felt. But this time I miss them all and only polluted smoke, wrappers and traffic of vehicles left.

Good thing also happens through the vehicle crowd, that they opened another way through road which leads till observatory tower. So it was easy for my wheels to get near, having some beautiful and green views around. It was the clouds coves and opens the sky, the cool and sunshine makes different atmosphere and more changes in creation of greenswards and flowers uplift the sight, but feels artificial missing the natures view. After being there for sometime we left taking group picture before the observatory.

Next we landed on boat house in lake banks, which was crowd flowing to hire boats to go around. We sat for time pass on the bank and looking around getting over memories of past and different scenes of boat rides and people. Nearby, newly built swings and rollercoaster rides added to peoples attract and the small children park adjacent to lake now turned to be a little amusement park filled with kids. Back it holds beautiful garden with roses and music played by evening are lacking present days. On way, went round the lake road through a serene boathouse, deer park and at some corner, sighting the racecourse and view of ooty town, behind the dark clouds floating on the Blue Mountains

It was an eco-friendly street our hostel lies, which holds a rare photography gallery home and a small aquarium. On our right hill there is a tea factory; just beautifully and in night it’s bright in shining wherever you could see from. The hostel holds five to six rooms with each 4 cots and plenty of blankets, still the cold not to bear. So on second day I get the idea of something known back thought to cover the bed with daily papers for warmth, though it helps at little. As our warden said, the cold was adjustable for me the further days we stay, but not many u see, our cousins and granny started to worry about the cold. After sun down, and the moment all comes together it was more fun, and having dinner and chatting till we leave to bed.

Granny’s valediction

My grandma is retiring from her 39 years of service as a teacher in government school in Mamallapuram near Chennai, by this month end. We were attending her farewell and as well congratulate function yesterday evening, and I was feeling could I able to attend that function which I thought 39 years as teacher is not a simple act and by my wish she invited us and I went with more interest to share and by watching her most worth function in life time. If not to be my own granny, I like her so much, though she was a sibling of my grandmother and to tell mom’s aunt.

She started her carrier as a teacher in her age of 19, and she joined as a primary school teacher in mamallapuram from where she retires now. In those periods she has been moved to many schools in the region of Chengalpet a near town to Chennai. She has two sons and a daughter. Unexpected after her hubby who is also a teacher passed away and then to her often displacement on job and to our request she come to settle down near to Chennai, so we could feel of being with her.

It was the times as we children, soon the summer vacations starts our whole thoughts would be visiting her place and to be there is delight for me and bro, of the love we share with grandma, uncle and aunt – her sons and daughter, who is a year elder than me. None would be there dislike my grandma, as she is so kind and attachment to everyone and every time we visit there our memories waits in eager till we meet next time. My uncle and aunt are our best company in holidays, and we care so much each other and even the moments would be silly when we fight for no big reason. In the long run many things changed and in our heart we hold a place for them ever.

It was by 4 in evening the function was in process and more than an hour it lasted after we arrive. The colorful festoons brings a festive feel and children around to listen the congratulate speech by other teachers, headmasters of different schools wherever she served and panchayat leaders for her service as a teacher for 39 years. Finally my grandma spoke about her experience, and tales herself with students and teachers. She was near dropping tears when she tries to express how much the affection she kept on her students and their request to be there for making them learn some method easier, but I moved when she disclose her difficulty in teaching and visiting school daily. I hope she get more rest after her retirement and peace stay with memories of special moments in her carries of teacher.

After wishes, presenting gifts and the sweet words spoken about her could find a happier in her face and sure her mind must be. Just the sent-off haven’t end at school, in home she prepare for a dinner for us and to her colleague teachers who comes along with her as a custom of leaving her at home. More the clouds and rain in evening makes the moment pleasant and after we left home with satisfaction of being at a special moment of hers. In addition to wonder, the school she began her carrier and ends is to celebrate its century in 2 years which was started in 1910.

My Garden visit

After reaching Nilgiris, It was the night in that time of transitory wet lands put into signed fears of how could deal the troublesome of cold throughout our stay in dusk and dawns. I waked in the morning thinking and wishing for the sunshine to reflect its warmth to recover myself from that ever cold night. As it happens, it was our early plan of visiting the Ooty Botanical Garden which in a distance of crossing a beautiful bungalow next to our hostel. To mention this bungalow have a lovely flowering garden of varies flowers bloomed in fair, but least disappoint that publics are not permit inside. Further for me it’s a look forward to recollect memories after decade’s, to spend more times inside the Botanical Garden, viewing more flowers and green garden as much. Knowing our families who take time getting somewhere and together nothing to tell they make us delay, so I and my cousin reached the garden’s gateway and waited for our parents to arrive. We were welcomed by the police persons to kindly wary on crossing road and security near gateway enquire us (including my power wheels) and leave us inside the garden to stay somewhere till our families come and for me no tickets were brought. Very special isn’t me :)

We spent more than two hours inside the garden assort by our families, me and my fav cousin get away from others took some path getting the attractive sights and catching some beautiful pictures. Let my grandpa to sit somewhere, as he can’t walk more, we went alike and I just like getting upward on seeing more people and green grasses separating the garden and beautiful flowers along we go, and some where perished disappointed to the early rain. The time already the famous Ooty Flower Show have been over and the left over models of flower fountain and spaceship rocket stands alone in mid of less grass land, the flower show arrangements of varies flowers on a side which closed to public view, even so it was disturbing the perished flowers here and there. The glass house yet simply beautiful with small flowers around in red yellows and the greenswards which is not allowed to stay now, it’s the pleasure u see rollover there, the drops on grasses are ever stay memories of then.

Me, dad and mom

Sticks like, the sky and dark blue colors of rows of flowers I see as something special to this garden and in backdrop we get wonderful snaps with people. The garden has this pond filled by leaves and banks of these flowers even people cross it for pictures and the roads with vehicle passing often disturbs the visitors. The crowd was unexpected and we can’t move freely though we can’t blame as it was the season end. This is one place I like to visit again and again sometime unseasoned, the grass, often changing weather, the chillness wind blowing through green tall trees… let leave to the future to decide. And I feel am making my trip long here, but I like describing it here as I like remembering them again. Hope am not boring u all? :)

One… two… three…

The days ran fast, whatever I struggled
with words in this world,
I don’t know if not the blogs
where I do express myself could

And without you all, I am not at all;
simple word thanks won’t fill my heart
because am a little start in universe of blogs
got lighten from your bright stars
and what reflects me from u all
is the courage what I looked for.

Aimlessly roaming on ground - earth
ignorance brings often down
pressures within and minutes of thinking
reading show me the way onward

A day turns everything different
when surfing daily paper like
most spent their early period
I got some link, which ends me
in site called blogger, and then
am a member of this unknown web

Days moved on, comrades came on
if not those ensuing mates; I would have
ended everything later on.
I felt it was a welcome move
beginning of a new dawn to earth
connected to many people, moving in and out
some stay ever as dears in my heart
that’s not mean to anything wrong
and all stars shine, only the distance
disclose them as light and bright.

Could you find?
Three monkeys on the fence – sign. (In picture)
What am I talking now, because?
I completed three years in the blog.
Thank you all, it’s indeed only because of you all.

Something past

Memories more than a decade’s exist
like fresh greenswards and bloomed flowers
available at the botanical garden.

The mood was to feel my presence
and I enjoyed the gifted weather,
looking wherever green and people
caring there handy cam those gleaming
when light and dark clouds exchange often
the pleasure inside the garden

Looking allover it remained the moments
rolling back on greensward slopes
besides wandered ever I was, thinking
like something never happened again
which was like a portrait today
when the light only bring those shadow

Lake as chill as it was eventide period
the stressful life inside sweater; waiting
as we swing for steamboats to arrive;
and the toy train in bank of man-made lake
as we move on it, joy comes through wind
and the only remaining train journey till.

Casual changes in life but unturned memories,
the invisible future never sign me – are none
inevitable is not going to be fine.
Those days are must enjoyed to its size
but in an unexpected world am.
I go somewhere today, but still I feel
missing the bliss and wisdom tells
there is more and some have no more.

It’s the opportunity and in a hopeless luck
everything is to enjoy, even the cold after sunlight;
my hands suffer for strength
and the only interest bring me up
if not whatever it was void, the interest,
power gives life this opportunity.

# Current song from Tamil film Nepali, my most favorite Kanavilae Kanavilae… a lovely song.

Worth message

I am to share a video that was shared by Resonator in her blog. Just a great message from a school girl, the speech that makes the people of world United Nations to put in wonder listening to the address of Seven Suzuki. The video is originally belong to 1992 when Suzuki was 12 speaking to delegates meeting, things related to Environmental issues in Rio Earth Summit and to raise money for expanding her Environmental Children’s Organization, a small group of children committed to learning and teaching other kids about environmental issues. I felt this is one of a worth speech to make aware on world environment. Listen here:

Reaching Nilgiris

Yelagiri hills & Mettur dam

In mid may we were planned for a trip and in wish I was looking forward to visit Valparai in Coimbatore district, but for some reason and doubt of getting leave for dad, it was canceled. Then in between, dad’s friend in Coimbatore urged at least go to Nilgiris where he can arrange govt. hostel in Ooty to stay, which was vacant because of students’ vacation. Before that, dad want’s permission from his higher officer for vacation, ‘though dad wondered and many of us that as soon he asked him leave for a family trip he signed immediately which none gets easily. So it was and then arise another problem in transporting. Dad think if we go on travels they charge more and if get a vehicle, only diesel and driver charge cost. So we thought of taking our aunt’s Scorpio, but here also a difficult that there Scorpio doesn’t have a carrier. Just for our four it was comfortable with luggage and my wheelchair, but we are taking our uncle’s (chittapa) family and we need a carrier. Same time my sister was also on plan to visit ooty and she told waiting to join with us, though she and her parent are feeling lonely visiting and we are to share with their Sumo making our trip comfort and also calling our grandparents with us.

Mettur dam

Waked up early 5am, packed and reached uncle’s place where we all get-together to start our journey. By 7 we left home after packing things, food and everything for our journey. We take the Vellore, Dharmapuri, Mettur and Satyamanglam route to reach Nilgiris; it was smooth an easy traveling from Chennai to till Dharmapuri border and from there for miles the road work been disturbing alike braking the speed. The road we travel passes through Mettur dam’s 16 eye way and the time it was 100 foot water storage and to get the view of the dam right and canals that something seen often in television, but the row of vehicles just behind make us move fast even I take some pictures. From there it started the Western Ghats Mountains on right and the up down roads from Satyamangalam is still a recall of memories of 11 years old where I use to urged my uncle then to leave accelerate the road goes down and making sounds like ‘Veerappa enga irukka?’ (Calling the sandalwood smuggler in those days whom used to be roaming there then) :D

I just want to show my sis we have to enjoy happily our trip in SMS, who is in another vehicle before climbing hills, but to see it was still undelivered even after retuning home and it was over 7pm in evening we started to drive on hills and because of over traffic slow downs the drive reaching Ooty by 9.30pm. I wished there was natures light when climbing on mountains getting the nature visible, though it was dark aright and it was the eucalyptus scent in breeze welcomes. Few km further on hills got the view like multi gems dropped down beneath to my left; and those are the lights from the town near shines in red, green, yellow…. Before arrive hostel, the place we actually stayed in ooty, my sister’s relative arranged a guest house known as Stone House a famous old house in ooty belong to English men period. First we thought to stay their, but there is no more facilities for us, so we left hostel by 10.30 and after dinner it was nearly 12 to leave bed. Already Nilgiris are wet everywhere of rain and it was raining still after arriving hostel the cold ever high we felt that night. If everything was ok then, we would have got a chance staying in Stone House which is so clam reside and a top place to get the whole town under sight.

Got the wished

My Canon
The long time wish or even sometimes the desire exists with new Digital Camera. Canon PowerShot SD850 IS in my hand delight all time looking at the 230,000 pixels colorful LCD. Its nine months since I was waiting for this camera to arrive through my friend’s colleague from US. It was the thing I must be holding right already, but because of some wrong information I missed to urge and avoid giving difficulty to my friend when he was on a project to US. Till then he was urging his colleague friends about my cam whoever left to US, but for some reason their return was delayed.

First of what the entire camera I chose its best is not what I get now, but the one similar to the Powershot SD800 IS this. The SD 850 is 8 Megapixel and what I chose is 7.1 though its costlier in Indian rupee, but not in US and the people get through online couldn’t find the model I selected. Though we can’t expect everything should be perfect, so I prefer to SD850 which is no more less to SD800 which I think best but comparing some options are high in this.

Something I looked important to choose the PowerShot SD 850 IS:

1. Image Stabilizer (for steady, long zoom shooting)
2. 4.0X Optical Zoom
3. 8.0 Mega Pixels
4. Red-eye correction
5. 2.5 inch 230,000 pixels Pure Color LCD
6. ISO up to 1600 and many lighting effects.
7 Weights (165g)
8. Battery Power (230 shots per charge and 700 shots in LCD off)

But to tell truly the disappoint thing in this camera is the weight, little heavier than I expected. The cam body just fits in our hand, which is comfortable pressing shutter button with a support. The zoom can’t be calculated as it don’t show the exact stage in zoom, but no different visible, I must do exercise more with optical Zoom and it was fun zooming something in distance. In addiction I buy a 4GB memory card that can hold more than 1,000 shots in Super Fine to take the maximum quality pictures and in minimum more than 5,000. I like the color of the body in silver metallic, the ultra-slim and stylish look. The first reason to select Canon PowerShot SD 850 IS is for the much less shaking option and it’s the main problem I face more in Digital Cameras taking more shaky pictures. When i was looking for this camera in India it cost 360 US$, but the same thing cost me 227 US$ brought in US. Hope power shot portrait colorful to heart and sight, with your entire wish.

Glenmorgan

Picture 149 Picture 147

Picture 151 Picture 152
click pictures for enlarge

This is one of a very lonely place in the Blue Mountains of Nilgiris, northwest of Ooty. It’s just a 25 km drive from ooty center taking the right narrow path next to Pykara falls on Gudalur road. When searching for some newly places in net rather than the usual tourist visit and I found some places in that Glenmorgan is what we visited on the 2nd day after arriving Ooty. Right oppose to ooty this place is completely silent and more than a tourist place it’s a picnic spot to spent a day, on the day we went it was mixed under cool breeze and sunshine giving enough soothing. It’s a narrow path to reaching Glenmorgan is one besides having tall trees monkeys occupied and grass sloppy hills. As we enter there was a small army camp was going and soldiers where on exercise, army vehicles and horses stayed. Little move further comes this small stream that a flow from few feet high is simpler joy, but it was down to capture and the glenmorgan tea estate welcomes with colorful bloomed flower garden belong to some private estate.

Before reaching the turner and top station in Glenmorgan, we parked on road side of the beautiful lake bank for lunch and it was greenish earth and chillness weather because of being near lake and the little waterfall sound just for only nature and our families the only nosier. After lunch, I and my cousins went around climbing the off-road then to getting a view of the lake, tea gardens and slopes; my wheels are helpful going around myself along the lake road and towards viewer point. The lake is used as fore bay for Pykara power house and fishes been catches in lake. To see our little cousin was disappoint not bringing the fishing hook to catch fish. In the whole trip this is some place unforgettable and the best in all.

Glenmorgan is one of an oldest tea estate in Nilgiris and a very famous then. Those these days it’s a gateway for Electricity Board workers to reach Pykara power house in Singara which is about 3km down from the hill here. To reach the viewer point and winch station at edge of the hill, one need to get permission from the EB office their; for us it was easy to enter where dad being a government official they leave us sending a guide to explain and inspect whether we are using cameras, which is strictly banned. To our surprise it was something unexpected to see a winch been operated (but not now) towards the steep valley and visible track passes along narrow steps and pipers caring water to the power house. The guide explains that EB workers used to go through the winch besides deep forest and shoals reaching power house and incase of even climbing up/down in the fearing steps.

To know the valley there is called green desert, to the eyesight where it’s only forest and shoals. The winch operation is temporary stop there because of disturbance by wild animals; and few meters away from the end, is said to be a road come tunnel been created for EB vehicle to reach Singara. A small statue of memorial of the chief engineers of the project Sir Henry Howard was kept their behind as lake. One thing is, we get a picturesque view from the edge of mist and green covered mountains and deep forest which is said to be the Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary. Getting back from there the sky was nearly closed by dark clouds and just after reaching govt. hostel where we stayed in ooty it was heavier the rain and kick started the strong cold.
