Dutch Cemetery, Pulicat

Dutch Cemetery, Pulicat
The Dutch Cemetery in Pulicat dating back to 16th century, near the market place is an interesting landmark of Dutch foot in pulicat, built in between 1606 to 1690 with 76 tombs and mausoleums. The beautifully carved tombstones with inscriptions in the Dutch language are said to have been carved in Holland and sent to India.

The sign board at the entrance says ‘the monument has been declared as National Importance and those cause damage to the monument shale be punished. The Dutch cemetery is protected by Archaeological survey of India.
Dutch Cemetery - Pulicat
The cemetery was locked by the time we visit, but the inner gate was opened and those who take risk could jump in. The two skeletons sculpture at each end of the entrance looks interesting with a designer arch inscribed in Dutch. The tombs and mausoleums inside the cemetery could be glanced almost look out from the compound wall.

History tells that the Dutch Fort Geldrian, which is opposite to the Cemetery, is the place from where Dutch trading with the East Indies.

Pulicat Lake

Back to land
Few weeks back we went to Pulicat, which is about 75kms from my home and 60kms from Chennai toward North. It was a sunny Sunday and we get ready early for the journey and the ride went through marina, kasimedu, minjue, kaattur and pulicat and the route were new to us after kasimedu – Chennai fishing harbor. The north Chennai which always seems crowded and dusty isn’t different, and the day being uncertain about the lorry strike announced to protest against the diesel price rise, the tankers that were suppose to enter harbor were parked a lot along the way and across kasimedu, turned the way into single and the road work going at some places delayed our drive to pulicat.

Pulicat is a huge lake shares the border of state Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, which is also known as Pazhaverkadu, a fishing village located within Tamil Nadu. Pulicat is the one and second largest brackish-water eco-system in India, next to Orissa’s Chilka Lake.
Lake ripple
Pulicat is also a lake bird sanctuary, and many birds migrate here overseas by winter and the famous greater flamingos are sighting here. Pulicat, having a history back to 1st century, where it was mentioned as one of the ports on the east cost of India, has the arrival of Portuguese in 15th century and followed by the Dutch.

The Dutch came here as there ships got struck on the shores, from where the coast line got the name Coramandal, still bears the evidence of the Dutch’s existence through the ruins of Fort Geldria built by the Dutch and a easy view of a Dutch Church and Cemetery. During those periods, Pulicat was known by the name pallaicatta.
Pulicat Lake view from the bridge
It was noon by the time we arrived pulicat and as soon we enter the village, many people stop our vehicle for boat ride. Keeping away those request, except a guy who talked in hope and caused to support us to the island through a boat ride, we moved across the new bridge before hire his boat. The bridge was newly built to connect the Island village with transport which were until then occurred by boats and bullock cart – when the water level is low.

The Pulicat Lake is a merging point for three major rivers and small streams, including the Buckingham canal, which is part of the lagoon on its western side. The lagoon’s water exchange with the Bay of Bengal is through an inlet channel at the north end of Sriharikota – where the Indian space rockets are launched – and out flow channel at its southern end with 200 meters wide, and the rise and depth is depend on the flow.
and passed away
There isn’t anything to see other than the Old Lighthouse, on the island village across the bridge, which is sighted from everywhere and even far away. It was a wonderful view from the bridge, with a panoramic of both sides of the lake, and besides seeing a small island away, and a boat with a box perhaps fishes passed away.

We were back to the jetty, where our boat man waited for us and the place doesn’t look clean and hygiene, and what can we expect from a place where the boats unload the fishes caught from the lake and seas. After a task we climbed the boat, which is an old one made in woods than the many colorful fiber boats. The boat man helped my parents and cousin to assist me into the boat, and without them I can’t enjoyed the ride.
Boat ride in Pulicat
The boat ride takes about 25 minutes to reach the island, where everyone suppose to visit and spent time with families and friends. The casuarinas groves in the island provides a nice shelter to everyone from the scorching sunshine and people who comes with gas stoves, cook meals and have fun with there families. While we arrive, there were a group of guys having fun with there friends by dancing, singings and making noise.

On the way we saw three pelicans swam in the lake at a certain distance to one another and it was late noon while we had our lunch that we brought from home, except the spicy prawns cooked by grandma, which were caught from the lake by then. It was very hot weather that day and we can’t head out of the casuarinas groves we land on. The boats stops by and moves, people flow in and out, the boats resound every minute and then, disturbing the peace which is the cause they say about birds keeping away from the sight.
Quiet pleasant, Pulicat
It was time to return back and the sun was there still scorching about even it was evening, forcing its rays into the soft skin. The island was green enough with grasses grown everywhere to attract and the waters are clean to see the sand inside, and a nice place to take cool bath against sunshine. The ride was very pleasant while returning back, except the hot sunshine, the blue skies and water reflects beautiful with mild ripples waves that calm the moment, but though excite to see a lonely greater flamingo flying overhead to surprise.

The boat ride took a long way while return back and the dept of water at these places are said to be more than a man’s height and we saw a fisher men just waking in the middle of the lagoon lake, with water up to his neck and he was planting sticks and nets to catch prawns. As we unload ourselves from the boat, the water level had raised down little to land us on the unclean terrain, where two women washing fishes beside.
No man island, Pulicat
It is nice to spend a day different by taking a boat and having picnic in an island and watching birds – which is something, disappoint me and I wish to visit Pulicat in winters to sight greater flamingos. I think now it would be nice if we taken a boat from the island village which has better and clean jetty or visiting the Tamil Nadu Boat House for a decent boat ride we failed to check.

This time we tried the NH 5 to return home, to avoid the containers trouble in north Chennai. The road link the pulicat and NH5 is simple nice, as it passes through villages and fields giving a sense of freshness in absence of much vehicles. My cousin who is on wheels in his early stage drew back home safely, saving a goat and small puppy which were in there own world across the road. I wish I get a good companion soon in him to drive me everywhere, without waiting for dad or a driver.

Hard work

While thinking something I get to think how things come from and a thought that always rise in me came to answer that everything is because of ‘hard work’. The hard work that done physical is behind everything and nothing comes easily without a stress.

Today everything has turned mechanize and computerized, but still there is something called hard work being built behind the machineries and each machine depends on either, hooked like a chain which is in hands of hard workers. I believe if we dug deep into a machine, it will end up at the hands of labors, who hard work.

Around the world, the hard workers are not getting there real worth for their cause and almost goes to the owners who just own things. I just see it through my eyes and feel it through my sense, that those don’t know what hard work means and never care about it, survives with joy and celebrate in parties. Those who hard work works all along there life, ill treated by owners and managers, and infamous and rich keep them under service.

I sense what hard work means even thought I don’t do anything hard, and for me every movement is hard work and I know because I go through the moments that unbearable stress being borne by my parents to give me life everyday. I believe the hard work never and should not fail, and it brings smile on our face and makes life easier.

Basically all comforts come from hard work and our lives are bound to be.

Mother’s Centenary

A candle that blown out more than a decade ago, and still continue to glow brighter in our hearts and continue to be so. The candle I like to mention her is Mother Theresa, whose birth centenary is celebrated today. I see her as a candle that melts itself to give light and life to others, and of course our mother’s vision can’t be easily appreciated, because her life is a mission that starts missionaries of charity to aid and feed poor, sick and orphan people and those dying for.
Mother Theresa has dedicated her life to the poorest of the poor and this dedication has become her life’s ambition. Thus her ambitious passion brought her the Noble Prize for peace, by appreciating her service and compassionate. The Albanian born mother is named originally as Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu and as per the rule of changing the name to become a nun, she chose the name Teresa – whom she vow to become as Teresa Martin, a nun and missionary who dedicated to poor and sick people.

The 18 year old, sent from the Ireland’s nun’s home, where she learnt English, came to India and joined the West Bengal’s Christians church and served as a teacher at Loreto convent school in Calcutta. The worst situation in Calcutta then in poverty, insanitary and over all the pavement dwellers being fed besides the drainage wring her heart and thus she decided to live for them. After receiving the Indian citizenship, she abandons the Loreto nun’s home practice and began to wear a simply cotton sari.

After Vatican’s permission, she started the missionaries of charity and later a home for poor and a hospital to them. She also stated a home for abandoned and orphans, and thus by devoting herself to service the poor and sick patients, she had been talked by everywhere around the world, and it left in peace and struggle when she passed away in her 87th year. Today being her birth century , India is yet to commemorate her by releasing her postal stamp and this is just not enough, and we all need to keep in mind that we do at least what she had done immense to others. Let peace sings to mother.

Summer Rain

ஊசி தும்பி / Needle dragonfly
Chennai is under clouded sky
it drizzles throughout day and night
sometime slightly heavily
it pours down to earth

Seasons change in order, is nature
but it’s indeed unnatural these days
because raining in summer
a summer like never before

The frogs, leaches and snails
that come into exist, because of the rain
leaps and leisurely movies in pace
mess up, after crushed under the wheels

The climate is too pleasant
to enjoy the nature and its existence
I blend with the weather
at every change I get into the shower

I wish the season continue like this
forever, keeping away the distress
and struggle of people under hot sun
and the rain stops, before it flood and drain.

The needle dragonfly in the picture is captured in my home garden. I love this species from my childhood and had attempted to catch them many times.

The Robot Rocks

The Robot (Endhiran) is out in audio and it simply rocks more or less. First time listening I felt quite instrumental and sound of metal and its no wonder because music is by A. R. Rahman and to add sugar the movie is about robot, a mass made of metal. It wasn’t a great disappointment to me and I didn’t expect anything from the movie except it’s a Shanker movie. About the music ARR could have reduced the noise of instrument and avoid rap potion.

SPB, who is always fascinated to the introduction songs of Superstar, is here along with ARR and his daughter Khatija Rahman to call the New Man to earth. The song ‘Puthiya Manitha’ has given life to the robot!

Kathal Anukkal’ is soothing in the flow of Vijay Prakash and Shreya Ghosal! The song is energetic and charming to keep away the melody. Sure the picturesque would be very beautiful says the sample pictures in the lyric book.

Irumbile oru Irudhaiyam’ is so hot in Kash n’ krissy vocal and ARR has given good company in expressing a robot’s emotion and love. The song is rapid and the English verses have added attraction. I think the lyric book is given to understand the lines that goes immerse in music at many places.

Chitti Dace Showcase’ is head aching! A rap which has given way to strong instrumental esp. the drum beats.

Arima Arima’ has elevated the theme from the deep breath of Hariharan and Sadhana Sargam has done her brief part in sweet. The music has put a bravo walk in this robotic show.

‘Kilimanjaro’ is very interesting and Pa.vijay has played with lyrics, so playfully. The song has well rhymed in Javed Ali and Chinmayi voice and it sounds like a tribal song. It’s my favorite song in the album and seems like it was captured in a adorn manner. Aaha Aaha… and Heako ennikkoni… at the each stanza cause prettiness and add giggle to the song.

‘Boom Boom Robo-da’ has an excellent rhythm from the string and it sounds alike the Shivaji’s Athirade! The lyrics are well related to science and childish love and it was written by Vairamuthu’s son Karky. The female singers sound so hot and sweet to cause passion and romance.

Madrasapattinam

The first thing that caught my mind was it was like titanic, where an old woman narrates her past memories and seek to relieve and reconnect her emotions. Among the young generation film makers, director Vijay did a fantastic movie with late independence struggle, love and action in a tremendous backdrop of madrasapattinam which transferred into Chennai today.

It was a lovable love story across the Madras Presidency and Amy’s each and every expression is impressive and adorable! Arya’s role as dhobi, befit the character as a valor and showcase fondness through his eyes. Except the romance, action and protest, there’s so much to observe about our late city. The Buckingham canal, the central railway station, the dhobikhana, Spencer and some more comes as an elegant to eyes. The cinematography is fantastic; it captured something that when we aren’t belong to the scene or seen through pictures.
No words to appreciate the music composer GV, the music was such amazing and stands as a great pillar to the picture. Every song has to be mentioned separately and the composition of western classic seems awesome and I wonder every time listening to the album. Meghame song has a charm of droplets dropping on us and the beats are foot tapping. The quite clouded sky and the blowing wind and sounds are adding pleasant to the then pristine Chennai.

To complete the form, two more characters did there best and among them the late Cochin Haneefa’s one-liners are amusing. It’s sad to miss someone who is well at character and comedy, which comes naturally to him. The British officers ruled the whole; the wresting and chasing scenes are interesting. Should appreciate the courage of director for using British language most of the places under sub-title, though it wasn’t difficult to understand.

Overall the movie was refreshing from the usual Tamil cinema and gives way to decent movie making. I like Vijay’s previous movies and they are quite neat and feel so good. Nice to see such movies to keep stand the Tamil cinemas from hero based movies, and gives important to art, technology and new idea.

Yesterday it was like singing ‘rain rain go away, come again another’ but where does it listen? It poured heavily and disturbed the movie watching at drive-in. It only works out in movies and nature has no man power to control. Oh!

களவாடும் களவாணி - Cute filcher

It was a Tamil song and pictures from the movie Kalavani and I did little change in lines that suites the mind. The tones are interesting while listen the song. The pretty girl oviya is someone caught my attention lately and her expressions are lovable. I haven’t seen her movie, but her stills are set to dream about and just waiting to admire on screen.

Perceive

Thinking about kingmaker on his birth occasion, I think it is his thought that put him on stage as a great leader to enhance governance. He isn’t educated by school, but his experience taught him lessons and he read peoples mind to understand the deficiency and necessity.

Thoughts aren’t captured in books or departmental stores; they are raised from the deep emotion.

I think many leaders don’t work with sense these days, so that many are still suffering from hardship and only with knowledge we can’t develop anything instead of destroying some more hearts. Whoever gains literate or immense knowledge doesn’t shine as much sense touch people’s hearts. There stands the Kamaraj who lead the state then with a sense and rule the country.

The politicians talk about him on occasions and pose like garlanding his statues and promise to bring the golden period again, but without a sense that past could not replace future, and it’s the thought and experience along with sense going to gain a better future. Today the education and knowledge has become business, the sense goes out in search of sum. The technology has arrived to make easer the lesson and knowledge at our laptop screen and practice through internet, we are out of sense to see and explore the essential commodity.

Let’s hope for a better future with sense and knowledge.

Raavanan – the movie

Thinking it would be a lengthy movie, we headed fifteen minutes before the show time, but they stated only half an hour later. Thinking silly had they postpone the show or inadequate of current, since every lights are on and speakers tuned western, I wonder when the movie going to end, before it started.
Thinking about the movie and the hype and music that enhance the ears after many listening; the movie begins with the caption was just threatening and create excite accomplish by bang music. As the movie’s progress is well presumed refer to the title and media, the relish is little missing.

The movie revels outstanding in visual performance, which is the highlight of the movie and for this at least one should watch in theater.

Mani’s movies always lead confusion and unchanged attitude in dialogue delivery is one thing I don’t like his movies and thus in many places conversations lack understanding. Vikram has been used well in this movie, and his character of being a bravo tribe hero sense familiar but thought it’s completely belong to him alone and no one could replace his character.

Aiswariy rai is lovable as usual and through her stunning performance she astonish. I think anyone could do her role, but I doubt could anyone domain like her in exposure and thus I guess it is her beauty. Whereas the concern is expected between vikaram and prithive raj, the every other characters doesn’t seems or get importance. Prithive raj is perfect in appearance to match aiswariya and being a smart cop his role replaces the fury on his face.

Like never before, the athirappali falls in kerala is well captured in detail along the stunning leap and climb by the lead. Its adventure throughout, with no deep sense behind the tribal fight and a strong reason to kick start the fire. Like the most look after scene, the acrobatic stunt at the hanging bridge is just amazing! I was surprise to see the cenotaphs of Orchha that I lately learn in Rajesh’s post took screen in flashback.

The climax was realistic and left in a wonderful silent off the valley. The nature that exists throughout the movie is mist bound bliss. Raavanan – it’s a complete movie keeping away the commercial commitments.

Courage

Life on sailing
Life is a wild river
and we sail in a boat,
to remain sailing
one we know driving
or diving
to neither drive ashore
nor leave it to destiny.

For anything, we need courage! Just thought to write something and got courage.

In poor man’s ooty

way to yercaud
On the hills of Servarayan lies the popularly known poor man’s ooty, Yercaud. The name which derives from the Tamil words ‘yeri and kaadu’, which mean ‘lake and forest’. It’s almost pleasant and cool throughout the year and it could be reached from any where through buses and its nearest city is Salem. Placed at an elevation above 1500 meter from msl, the yercaud is famous for its coffee plantations, which was introduced in state in late 18th century by British.

As we climb on the hill, the weather started to wrap with cool wind and dry leaves crushing over the lonely road. The route takes us via coffee and pepper estates, and it wasn’t a bus route so it was vast empty and narrow with little hairpin bends and curves. The kuppanoor is the footstep of this ghat road that comes in between Salem and harur.
greenery
As we reached yercaud, it started to drizzle slowly and even while enjoying the climate, the disappointment came from the resort that we booked for saying they don’t allow pets… and even after much explanation they refused to allow. It’s indeed our mistake of not informing the resort formerly that we bring a pet (maya) with us and thought they will adjust if we say, but no way had we to seek for another place to stay.
large leaves
We then moved into the town searching for rooms while raining outside, we met an auto drive who guide us to a cottage belong to someone. It was a two story building and they gave three of us a room in ground floor and for others in second floor, it was somehow comfort with mosquito menacing in night. The next day we shift to second floor, with the aid of cousins caring me away it was better than before from the troublesome mosquitoes, which fly from the nearby sewage canal that we fail to notice in night.
moth eyes
The cottage was little beneath the dead end road and was surrounded by trees, plants and shrubs; and one of the plants were attractive with huge leaves similar to lotus ones. Morning I wake to see wet everywhere and flowers bloomed in red and blue and small species like frogs, toads, moth, millipedes existing everywhere. The Maya who was excite to see those species was keen to catch them away.
simply nice home
There was a restaurant called Karuppaiya Mess at the junction near the lake was very familiar in taste and too good to have. Throughout our stay we get foods from here, but there’s limited choice of food. The view from our balcony wasn’t great but the little house opposite to ours was simply nice, with a small portico and two tiny elephants guarding each end of the gateway in stone. I’m not a person always or never wish for greater in life, even a small and simple home is enough, and in this way I wish I live there sufficiently.
happy swinging
To add, the swing inside the terrace was attracting everyone to swing ones!

WCTC - 2010

The five days World Classical Tamil Conference end on Sunday and it was held like a grand festival with everyone’s attention towards it. There were dance, music, award presentations, exhibitions, processions and symposium by Tamil experts and watched by thousands and lakhs of Tamil people gathered in Coimbatore.
This is the first world Tamil conference held after Tamil receiving classical status, which is the oldest literature among the living languages of the world. I watch the beginning session of this conference inaugurated by the President of India Pratibha Patil before the innumerable Tamil people, who come in eager to learn more about Tamil and listening expert speakers praising the language.

It’s truly honor to see Tamil experts speak in literally and foreigners interest to take Tamil as there language and do research to learn more and exhibit the classic to world. It’s truly great to realize for the first time obviously such a conference being held and inspiring many people those desire to learn and read more about the glories language Tamil.

I too listen to few symposiums spoken by Tamil experts and it feels honor to say I speak Tamil. It’s simply an eye-opener in many ways to Tamil literature and its historic path, thus one of the speakers Jagath Gaspar’s words were touching sense and knowledge and his explanations where among the best about human unity being Tamil community . He says the elaborated DNA chart says Tamil community has crossed 78 generations.

I just think while that being Tamil doesn’t separate us from being unity in humanity and where I see human is a tree and he needs a piece of land to its root to stand and being Tamil it is the language of everything and whatever grows above the soil is equal to everyone. For instance Tamil is like our homes where we could walk bare footed and stay very comfort, but stepping out isn’t same and not every place is like our home. Where society is a common place with difference in everything, and to comes across or grain experience we need to wear something in common other than Tamil. So learning other languages or giving important to one isn’t wrong and well necessary, but there isn’t a comfort place like home, where we’re ourselves.

A language is for communication and we caught up with language which comes easier for us to communicate, but I feel shame that we often communicate with combine language. Tamil is a beautiful language and when it comes out from those experts it inspires a lot to communicate completely in Tamil! It could be a tough task, but I hope if we try we could speak easily and I have an interest in learning new words and meanings that we unknown or only known in other language which is almost English.

While celebrating Tamil as a classical language, hope those however follow the conference like me might get motivate to practice fluent Tamil without influencing other languages, which isn’t less in profound or prior to other. Let’s celebrate the language, the tool of communication and development in society and relationship.

Ayyanar special

majestic statue
Couple of weeks before we had been to yercaud – a hill station in Tamil Nadu on the Eastern Ghats – and it was a great escape from the summer heat, though it wasn’t much cooler like ooty or kodaikanal, it was quite pleasant and relaxing. As we moved to yercaud, we heard the laila storm blows away the heat rage and turned the city much cooler like a kodaikanal and I guess it was the reflection where the cool drizzle and heavy thunder rain and wind in yercaud.

As we pack up in Chennai, it was scorching sunshine and even thought it doesn’t reflect much inside the car, the environment was damn hot. Just not even to forget or exit we can’t keep heads off, and it was such intense the heat waves. We could call it as the worst days of the year, while the temperature crosses 41*C. Not to forget the dry and bored highways that lacks everything except good road condition until we turn near tirupattur, a state highways that lead to Salem en route Uthangarai, Harur and Kuppanoor, where the ghat way begins to yercaud.
multi-armed guard
Not to forget, the road from tirupattur to kuppanoor was lovely laid, even though it was a double lane there are many ups and downs making the ride interesting with beside huge trees and stretching hills and often visiting villages are completely reminding me the earlier days of ride. Not to forget the huge statues of Ayyanar with a sword in hand that come on the way was noticeable.

The Ayyanar – guardian deity who is believed to protect the rural villages – was sitting so majestic on a stage and accompanied by a white horse rode by him are painted colorfully, which is a common sight in rural Tamil Nadu. The Ayyanar was also surrounded by few more statues and one of it was a ten hand statue holding various weapons, and stamping on someone evil and a sword piercing the body. In most Aiyanar temples, the various clay figures and idols reflect the social hierarchy and the gods are ranked acceding to the social and economical hierarchy in the village.
village cop
The Aiyanar temple built in an open space – with a little compound wall around the Ayyanar – like every other such temples that have no building and only figures get importance. In many villages the Aiyanar is ascribed as traditional family deity by various communities and clan groups, and these temples are usually built on the outskirts or at the border of rural villages throughout Tamil Nadu and the way they represent are in village guarding position.

The Aiyanar is a Tamil word derived from the root word ‘aiya’, which is a title often used by Tamils to call respectable people; and the popularity of aiyanar became even more pronounced from the chola’s period onwards.
strong wind
As we move near kuppanoor, the temperature began to reduce and wind started to blow heavily as we land at check post for coffee. It was great blowing wind, so cool and rising with sand and dust to branches and leaves to fall off and on road, it was something refreshingly new. After climbing least elevation on ghat, we find another Aiyanar statue among the bamboo forest and interestingly it was accompanied by statues of tiger, goat and snake-charmer.

The statue was just striking red in color and the place was quite silence, except the sound of crushing leaves and a dry stream appears near the temple. While climbing down the hills after visiting yercaud, we saw buzzing people around the temple, where some rituals going on along sacrificing goats. But we didn’t stop to watch and just viewed while passing away. It seems like the temple was some families traditional diety, and people gathered for some family ceremony.
ஐயனார்/ Ayyanar
Ayyanar worship is a very ancient ancestral clan-based worship system linked to nature and fertility worship. The festivals of Ayyanars are celebrated in sacred groves during spring season by all the related clan. The ayyanar temples are always associated with weapons such as trident, sickle or lance. The priests are usually non-Brahmins; and however animals such as chicken and goats are offered to the deity, the sacrificial offering is pure vegetarian, according to wiki!

disorder, along drongo

black drongo
As mind was thinking something seriously this morning related to the increase in blood sugar, the birds chirping around my place does console my mind as I couldn’t relax easily since received the blood test result two days ago. Just like an end, there’s a beginning, the treatment I go through the pulmonary consolidation is yet to end next month and my X-ray report says the lung fields are clean now. Thus, totally relaxing though, the diabetic that discovered last year has touched 175 in April and showing 185 is now about to increase my anxious.

At earlier I never took serious about this disorder, and only knowing the sign that it increase approximately just put me into serious thoughts. Though I have experience of watching diabetic patients at home via father and grandmother aided with medicine everyday and dad go on walking everyday without fail has put me into discussion within myself. As doctor has advised to keep away sugar completely, and doing exercise regularly and following a diet could maintain the level, I’m uncertain about these issues even though I could live without sugar, doing exercise and on diet, still there’s something disturbing me a lot.

Hence we didn’t consult a diabetes doctor, our general physician has said to avoid certain things as food to prevent from increasing sugar, and I doubt how well my little physical exercise would give hand without walking – not the miles my dad walk. The medicine I’m taking for the last six months to pulmonary consolidation has put me in tired of swallowing tablets and I couldn’t imagine a situation if it happens to swallow tablets my life time, just like my father, grandfather-mother in there older and middle age – where the diabetes rose head usually.

Diabetes is a common disease these days and falling so earlier begins the struggle. It isn’t a great creature to scare me as I have a huge one inside me, but balancing the both could need more ability and strength to fight. Hope I do my best controlling the beasts beside, and score less without loss. Life is precious and we have to face the constitution it has for us to wear.

Keeping away the anxious, disorder and medicine, the weather that prevails here is fabulous and quite drizzling from morning. The clouds has been surrounding Chennai for the last two days, and raining somewhere and drizzling everywhere, the people are pleasantly adequate without the scorching sun and heat. To add pleasant the birds has took visage thinking of evening and I used this chance to feed little birds that come across chirping and settle down on branches.

One such bird is the Black Drongo (Rettai Vaal Kuruvi), I received today morning on the widespread Gulmohar tree opposite to our house (see picture). The bird is an often visitor to this tree and every time I tried to capture, it fly away before I get ready to click. Gladly this time it taking refrain sometime allowed me to capture her beauty in silhouette; though her visage itself black in color and low light in weather, the picture comes out naturally good. I’m happy to capture this moment and thanks to nature, in every way it appears.

Children’s park – a visit

play with elephant
Visiting children’s park in guindy, Chennai, made me wonder had we entered a Lovers Park instead? So were the lovers sitting everywhere so closely in a way of disturbing others. The places ones tied with animals were tied by lovers and no where they seem to express shy or pause watched by visitors, as if they where familiar to this place and viewers.
he enjoys climbing
(mom and sachin - he like climbing)
Similar to beach lovers, those take shelter under scorching sunlight in mid marina beach goes here on benches and shadows. Whatever they think in mind and immerse, and there attitude might be seems mindless. Don’t they aware where they have entering and what type of attitude they should maintain in place where children come in large with families?

Children’s park is a place we could spent in leisure looking around caged animals and birds, and taking shelter from summer heat under the shadows of immense tress and it’s a treat for children those looking for huge play area. Been vacation time for children then, there’s enough crowd stretching in and out, and there isn’t much difference in its existence from the days visited the park as a part of school excursion throughout primary.
indian crane,
(Indian crane sarus)
I always want to visit the park, but time came few weeks before to wander the park after several years. A narrow road leads inside the park, keeping beside the green garden and numerous trees apart the cages; we leisurely started to move inside and visiting the spotted deer, birds and snakes. The deer’s were standing out of focus within the cage, and while moving to another stage a smart girl just cherished the moment alike a passing cloud that drizzle. That’s something sweet stays in mind while she says bye anna (bro).

A cousin went ahead returned to say there’s sea lions and I just amazed to think it could be perhaps neer nai (water dog) – which we later came to know as river otter. It’s really amazing to see those couple still exist – I’m not sure these are those survives from then - and joyously playing in water and land and displaying a nice entertainment to viewers. Its fun how they chase the crows and the sound which is similar to cat’s meow.
River otter
About: “River otter is a carnivorous marine animal belongs to the ‘mustelidae’ family of weasels. River otters are protected in some wildlife sanctuaries in Kerala, India and it is familiar to the natives of Kerala by the informal term ‘neer nai’ in Malayalam language. River otters are excellent swimmers and there soft under fur and long guard hair helps them from getting wet, while swimming. They have long slim bodies with short limbs and many of them can swim at an average speed of seven miles per hour. They are three to four feet long and usually weigh 15 to 25 pounds at an average.

River otter diets are mainly fishes, crabs, frogs, plus crayfish, shellfishes, snakes and snails. They choose frequently varying habitats like lakes and ponds, but usually live in marshes and along wooded rivers and streams. The main threats to river otters are water pollution and habitat destruction.”

The cage where ones a lonely cheetah laid lazily were occupied by wild dogs and the situation seems unchanged better. One was sleeping inside the den and others were lying around the empty pool and one was roaming inside the cage, checking out visitors.
poor hyena
There was this poor hyena, lying inside the cage just like without life. There was no sign that it survives except a deep gaze at its least breath movement.

Mom and dad following us everywhere, caring the big shopper- which has our lunch and water can that rapidly decrease. They leave us to check the cages and stays away in shadows and moves in eyesight distance before halt for lunch. There’s nothing interesting like watching the huge pelicans at touching distance, there were two huge pale pink pelican made me wonder how long could there wings stretch and these birds remember when they last stretched there wings in air! There were many curved beak ibis grazing like the hens in farms and villages freely inside the cage.
cleansing
There’s one Indian crane ‘sarus’, in red head and long neck, and standing tall in all flying birds. Thought the white herons in curves are much beautiful..
twins
Nice, it wasn’t muddy everywhere except the play area, where many kids sliding, swinging and climbing. The wheels doesn’t experience struggle thought there are many ups and down to drive carefully. There are big deer’s resting under the leaves of coconut shelter and I could see some vibrations on their bodies reflecting what is unknown. Next to the deer’s were our national bird peacocks. The bird in robin blue looks majestic and strikes me since sighted. The flow of feathers of a sitting peacock on a tree in blue green is a wonderful pattern looks similar to women’s silk pallu (the outer ornate end of a sari) that fall behind.
national bird
I remember once seeing a white peacock spreading its feathers to dance in this children’s park and so far I haven’t see such a sight. Children’s park is a part of Guindy national park, probably the smallest national park in the country. The then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru allotted a portion of the Guindy forest as a park for children and it was handed over to the forest department in 1958 and the entire forest area was declared as Guindy national park in 1978.

While relaxing after having lunch and waiting for our uncle’s family to join, we saw a spotted deer freely grazing around us and seeing the deer, some kids comes in near excite to touch and stand by deer for snaps. Amazing the deer wasn’t scare or causes any restrain of seeing people and thus it seems it’s grazing for very long time around the park along a male deer, which we saw later near the parking area with antler.
A spotted deer spotted in children's park
The big banyan tree at the end of the park holds the shed of elephant that ones exist here, and it is where most of the lovers taken retain shoulder to shoulder around the tree. Just like the place is reserved for them. Keeping away the views and motion, we come across the blackbucks in back and sandal-white. They looked lovely in there fur, and white around there eyes, the female buck are very showy in their skin. The black buck are said to be the fastest running deer in all and male deer has twisted horns – where one or two were in unshaped perhaps due to fight, and what’s notable in all was the cute small buck, sitting innocently taking shelter with cousins.
blackbuck
I’m surprise to see barking deer there, which I somehow searching for and looked to see at anaimalai in western ghat, and it just looks like mouse deer and what special is, it has four horns in forehead. There were plenty of parrots and variety of birds in couple of cages, and ahead was the big slider that continues to entertain children for very long time and I could hear the children’s loud of joy while sliding the way. Just turn me the way I enjoyed the slide in fear.

Before leaving the park, I come across the later on developed garden with pathway to enjoy the greenery and cool drizzle that comes from the sprinkler – where the lovely rainbow existing through. But somehow I couldn’t capture the thing as my cam stops clicking due to lens error. Over all to say it was a nice day visiting our favorite childhood entertainment park and hiding from rising temperature then. Thank u!

(This post is about Tamil movie singam (Lion), just an attempt on a quite Tamil review for a Tamil movie. Thank U.)

Love in flower

Love
Love is a beautiful flower
like a peace tower
Love is a delighted flower
like life under shower
Love is an enchanting flower
like we receive power
Love is a blooming flower
like we’re for each other

Love has symbol as flower
like heart hung for lover
Love is a kind flower
like a kiss from her
Love is a warm bonfire
like the weather we bond each other
Love is a whispering rose bud
like lovers utter in silence

Love is an essence in flower
like heart plays a concern
Love is a season to flower
like blossom between lovers

p.s. it’s been a while I blogged regularly and there’re few things I could say about not blogging, but what I deserve these days is not less than anything more. It’s been vacation time for schools and cousins are off to home to spend there holidays and its one important thing that keep me away from blogging. One of my cousin ashwin stayed along with me throughout his vacation and helped a lot taking care of my little needs and being a passionate gamer, he couldn’t leave me pc so easily and I couldn’t press him more in love and affection we share. He’s a very sweet boy and annoy at same time, and being fragile I didn’t show him any sign of disappointment and sometime I think there’s no other better way of showing back the deed he done in need and reducing my parents little stress.

In between we traveled to some places and tried to hide ourselves from scorching summer and never like before the heat ways are heaver these days. Evenings are very pleasant at same time and we had plenty of chats everyday outside the terrace and there were more fun and understand between us. I used to think why these communication and stable relationship’s were gone ones vacations are over? This is something disturbs me a lot in sharing, that whatever we forgive or exhibit a true love, there mind changes immediately when a pretty offer is stretched. Overall it’s a change I accepted and keeping away the virtual world, reading, thinking and capturing deserve me some knowledge and thinking back about blogging, I’m seeking a refreshing mind to begin newly. I hope to collect my energies and blog regularly. Thanks for your comments in my previous posts and the flower bloomed here is, from one of the rose plants I purchased in yercaud is yet to add more color to my home garden.
